[Round 23, 2022] - Cowboys vs Warriors TEAM LIST

Cowboys 1.jpg

NZWF Official thread for the 2022 Round 23 Warriors team list and discussion. The official team list will be posted as soon as it becomes available...

Really want Chanel back, Cowboys are an attacking force and while Asi was much better last week it doesn't change his defensive issues overnight in one game (which we dominated in metres). Maybe Berry for Kosi and Montoya back to wing if he is showing promise?

Hard one for Stacey to decide whether to bring Chanel back in for his defence, Asi stepped up in that regard last week. We dominated the cows last time, they've improved and we've gone backwards, but now we're improving again and they might have peaked, all in the natural ebb and flow of a footy season. It's like being Yoda inside Stacey's mind, how long have I been sitting here pondering whether to pick Chanel or Asi

What is time?

I reckon Chanel will either start, And Asi misses out altogether. Or , Chanel takes Lussick's spot on the bench.

Lussick's the only one here next year though as far as we know, they might start Chanel at fb and bench Walsh again, we've almost got too many options but none of them are top 8 combos and they're all leaving.

I think we're looking better though, if Browny was still here he'd be playing Otukolo in the 2nd row and Reece at prop by now, the madness had to end. I wouldn't be opposed to that if Reece keeps letting in tries though, stick him in the front row and see how he feels about dying for Penrose before he goes home.

Asi - 6 games - 2 tries - 5 try assists - 11 tackle breaks - 2 linebreaks
Chanel - 15 games - 1 try - 4 try assists - 15 tackle breaks - 1 linebreak

Tbh as a 6 Chanel just doesnt create enough, in his small sample size so far Asi imo has already shown more ability ball in hand.....plus i also like the look of those almost Burton like bombs he was putting up last match....id keep him at standoff.

If Chanel does play if anything it should be at fullback where his hearty more direct style has suited the team more than Reece's flakey play.

Why would you swap Berry who is smaller, slower, less powerful on attack, less powerful in defence, less experienced at league than Kosi?

Coz his dad was an All Black?

Kosi is headed towards NRL stardom, he carries two defenders over the line with ease.

Kosi is like Manu with brains, he is like Manu if Manu knew how to use his size to hit people.

Big Ed is pretty much the best thing this club has uncovered in a long long time.

Haven't seen Kosi do much but score pretty standard winger tries... I have no idea what people are seeing to talk him up so much. I suggested Berry as people have commented he has had a really good couple of months in reserve grade and his confidence is back

I am not really there on Kosi being the best thing the club has uncovered in a long time. He has looked so much better though. His response after what happen in the Storm game is what really impresses me. He has the potential to go far. Crazy how he is 4cm taller Manu.

He's a beast and the people's champ. Him and Viliami could be the next Meli and Toops, we just need a big fat prop to throw on in the last 20 to steamroll everyone like Mark Tookey. It pains me to say it after years of hating the Sharks with an irrational passion, but I suggest Andrew Fifita.
