I think we have more problems than what we pay our players.

You can take it a few different ways. I assume their point is the players we are paying a lot aren't performing. Or where the money is allocated.

In the cap you either spend big on a few players or spread it out. We had a lot tied up in Johnson years ago and now its more a bit spread out. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak and Lodge were being propped up by their previous clubs I like that strategy. Lodge moving on and how much we are paying is an issue.

Seems like a very long time ago. A quick nostalgic check back to the 2011 GF had Bill Tupou & Lewis Brown combining for 104m out of there & 8 other blokes had a crack
This is all anecdotal on my part but it felt like we ran more from dummy half during Cleary's time as coach.

I know you mean overall running from dummy half and a lot of our outside backs tend to run one off the ruck the last few years.

But for dummy half we don't run as often. Friend was criticised a lot for this. We had a good period with Fien and Henderson combining well as they were different from dummy half. Fien a bit more passing and plays around the ruck. Henderson a bit more power.

We have followed the trend after Cameron Smith came on the scene where teams like a guy playing large minutes.

Every club has great leaders. I look at our senior players and I just can’t see that leadership on and off the field that’s needed to be a strong consistent footy side. When we’ve had those types of players; Wiki, Price, Tate, Campion, Mannering we’ve gone well. Webster has to address this right away otherwise nothing will change.

This forum is very doom and gloom.

Lets be real here, the cows sit 2nd on the table, are a very good team full of very good players, who give their all every play.

The warriors are a poorly coached team, and have been for years, they play like a team who have fired their coach recently, because thats exactly what they are, our players dont have much confidence and they haven't been put in positions where they can easily succeed.

Walsh has been poor all year, but with any other top team he would be doing so much better, he hasnt been put in a good position to succeed or to grow, hes only very young and we have seen this for years now with many different players being poorly managed.

But we do have some light, we do have some good players coming through like vailea and volkman and kosi, we have good players like Addin Fonua-Blake, harris, curran. All we need is a good coach, and some stability with regards to our home base, playing at mount smart will win us games and hopefully our new coach can instil the mentality needed to win away in Australia next season.

Unlike most here, i wish walsh all the best next year and i have no doubt that he is going to be a great player in a much better system and team in Brisbane.

Its been a long season and i cant wait to it to be over and the fresh hope of another season will make me feel like next year is our year.
I agree with Walsh, he has the makings of a good player, poorly coached totally agree, how Morgan keeps his job nobody knows, he has the worst defensive record of the comp, what I can excuse tho is the senior players making stupid mistakes, Shaun Johnson should hang his head in shame and give back this years wages. Look at Townsend who runs the ship, fires up his player, he is everything Shaun Johnson is not.

This game looked like the 2nd place team vs the 14th place team unfortunately. The line speed and pace of play was way too hot for our defense to handle. Too many errors and penalties giving them too much ball in parts of field we could not defend.

Johnson on defense was shown up multiple times, not helped by his player around him however. Walsh the same, but some bad errors with no injection of attack makes me wonder what's the point of playing the bloke.. But we really have no other options except for maybe playing Berry at fullback, but he's developing his centre play in QLD Cup which is probably best.

Ale had good energy, so did Vailea, Kosi and Dallin Watene-Zelezniak (with some bad results).

Worst defense in the competition by far. Our complete structure needs to change. Brown chopped and changed the forward pack all season, here's hoping Webster can establish his side early and train the side on that basis.

Totally agree! Shaun Johnson is there to inspire the players around him. Give them direction and show them how to be great on and off the field. He appears to be a poor influence and too many rumours about him creating friction in the playing group. It’s all about him and always will be. Let’s hope Webster doesn’t bow down

And NanaI gets a slap on the wrist. guess they only take canon ball tackles seriously when people get really hurt.
I could not see anything to be charged with with the Murchie incident.

The other thing that continues is that the bunker is becoming a blight on the game.

Should the bunker be removed and decisions left with the infield referee and advice from linesman.

It seems if you look at several camera angles slow or speed up the play on replay any try can be denied.
In real time it is a try.
But for a several minute forensic examination the bunker can probably deny any try.
It is really starting to piss me off.
