Where did you read that?
It says this on the Fox NRL page:

Late Mail: Five-eighth Chanel Harris-Tavita (concussion) is in doubt, with Kodi Nikorima set to come into the halves if he is ruled out and either Jack Murchie or Jackson Frei joining the bench. Jazz Tevaga could spend time at hooker for Wayde Egan who is battling a shoulder injury. Bayley Sironen (corked thigh) will return from injury, while Josh Curran and Peta Hiku are expected to play despite copping knocks against the Bulldogs. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak returns from suspension with Edward Kosi dropping to the reserves.

Where s Paul Turner
Where’s Mason Lino

Paul Turner got a season-ending injury, so wouldn't have been any use.

Lino couldn't crack into a pretty average Newcastle side even with numerous injuries to their spine, so don't think he was the answer either.

I like Gizzyfan's idea of Hiku to 6 and Valea in. Could also put Aitken back in centre, and bring in Katoa/Murchie.

Valea is not in the 21 so can't play??
My thought is that Chad is gone for the season. I can only think he gets named in the 21 to keep oppositions guessing which seems a poor use of our selections.

Pretty sure Paul Turner’s been released to the Titans early because of his injury.

Murchie is not playing because he is a liability.

He pretty much went from a preferred starter to playing himself out of the team.

A team like the Warriors cannot survive any given game that features more than one player that gives away possession through low reward offloads.

We have Jazz for that role. And Jazz has finally learned his lesson, and is now arguably one of the best forwards in the team, certainly the best bench forward option the Warriors have.

The way Murchie throws no look offloads in our half of the field is unforgivable.

It is a coach killer, and therefore Brown has killed him off, which is pretty much what needs to happen at this club, no more coach killers...how many coaches have our boys killed? more than any club.

Now that Lodge and Addin Fonua-Blake play an inter passing and offloading game, there is even more reason not to add to that risk style by having Murchie in the team, because our props are going to turn over ball.

Add to that, Curran is also a second phase player, except he is far better at it than Murchie, and uses short passing with very few throw and hope offloads.

Jazz is keeping the ball close to his chest, which is why his game has improved.

Murchie blew it.

He threw it round like an idiot for a succession of games, and we are moving away from that now.

Sironen has kept his head down. He is Vanilla and safe, we do not need him throwing the ball around either, and he gets it. He just trys to sweat off a pass or an offload from someone else and cut an angle at the Try line.

Consider Katoa.....prone to stupid offloads....more so this season than his break out year....sent to reggies for it....like Murchie....starting to come right now that he is not throwing it around.

Murchie is deservedly way down the list and I think when he gets his shot...if he doesn't get it...we have no use for him.

Keeping myself entertained during lockdown:

- The Warriors have only lost 2 of their last 7 matches against the Broncos (4W-1D-2L).

- The Broncos have lost their last 4 games when refereed by Matt Cecchin.

- Warriors coach, Nathan Brown, has won 9 of the last 11 games he’s coached against the Broncos.

- As a player, Kevin Walters, coach of Brisbane, won all 8 of the games he played against the Warriors & also won 7 out of the 8 games he played against Nathan Brown.

- 58% of the tries that the Broncos have scored in 2021 have been on their right side. On Sunday that edge is likely to consist of Jordan Riki, Selwyn Cobbo & Xavier Coates.

- The Broncos have used 35 different players so far in 2021 & the Warriors 34.

- Only 5 Warriors, who are listed in 1-17, played against the Broncos in 2020. Wayde Egan & Jamayne Taunoa-Brown are the only 2 players to remain in the same position.

- Adam Pompey will celebrate his 23rd Birthday on match day. Sean O’Sullivan also turns 23 on Saturday & Bunty Afoa has turned 25 today.

- Josh Curran, Eliesa Katoa, Adam Pompey, Sean O’Sullivan & Reece Walsh will all be playing against the Broncos for the first time in their careers.

Great write-up - I think this is also why we have no need for Evans. He is another of the knuckle-head offload brigade, particularly on tackle 1 or 2 in our own half.
