These performances bring back personal memories from times long ago, before the professional era of rugby union when called up to play an invitational or trial, the idea being to throw a scratch team together for some sort of extraneous purpose or celebration. Inevitably the chosen opposition would be a top notch side, either touring or tier one side.
The reality was usually a horrible loss, a mismatch and the inevitable injuries where players either didn`t commit or over committed and an unequal competition resulted .
My point is this Warriors side is just a throw together of youngsters trying to make a mark and the more established players avoiding the fight not wishing to risk it all being exposed and without the proper support.
Any semblance of a team, band of brothers, working hard as one has evaporated.
How the Warriors have found themselves in this position is long and complex but they need a talisman not these flakey characters.

I see it differently.

League is such a physical game it is difficult to go out and play without any true intent. Nonetheless Adam Blair was able to do it consistently, as did many high priced English pros in the old days.

From what I see our boys are definitely putting in. What they lack is cohesion, and therefore confidence in the game plan.

When you stick a team together in claytons fashion that is what you are going to get, a claytons performance and it makes them look much worse than they are...if that makes any sense.

Call me optimistic but I expect a better performance against the Dogs

Apologies for my ignorance, a clayton's rule.isnt something that I'm aware of in this context.. Your point is well made though.. Rather like 7's there's no hiding..
This side though doesn't seem to firstly do what individuals have to do, basically concentrate on their own game and spaces and certainly doesn't gel or have a plan or cadence.
Here I cite Johnson...

Had a hangi at mine- pretty much everyone coming were warriors supporters so I timed it to pull it up just after the game.
Anyway I went outside to check on it about 15 minutes into the game and when I came back in there was no one there- everyone had given up and gone outside- a bunch of warrior tragics couldn’t even make it to quarter way through the game.
The players ain’t the only ones who have given up- 95% of fans have had a gut fill too.
There’s a lot of work to do to fix the damage that’s been done to the brand in the last couple of years- it really is at an all time low.
Yep had about 6 mates come around to watch the game, around 20 mins we were all outside drinking on the deck, this is the one of the worst Warriors teams I have ever seen, and that’s saying something.

So now with our inability to win a game the Knights have overtaken us and we slump to 14th and now have the worst points dif.in the comp.Hope they learnt something from Rabbits game for nxt home game.Yeah right.

Claytons came from an Australian ad for a non alcoholic drink you have when you are not having a drink. It was about 40 years ago.

So Brown was a Claytons coach, the coach we had because we didn't have one.

Playing a player out of position, means you don't have a player for that position.

Claytons as a drink was a marketing disaster, having anything Claytons in a team is the same.

Did anyone rate Ewan Aitken in the centres today.
He needs to go back to the forwards as a tackle bot.
I thought he was one of our better players. Hes a strong little brute. Made his tackles and ran hard. Put some mean fends on. The only blight in his game is passing. He does it 3 times a year lol.

Was like watching a qcup side against an nrl side we just don't have the ability to run with the top 8 in the nrl, it just shits me

Sadly it is much much deeper than that

We do not possess the mental strength required of a professional sporting team

3 guys in a tackle and they let an offload go, no one showing any understanding of what their role is in that moment

Not to mention a complete lack of desire, taking pot shots at eachother on and off the field.

Titans got knights and dragons coming up. It's doable.
I think we're pretty safe, mind you Tigers only need one win to pass us, they play Dragons too. As you say Titans have an easier draw. We need one more win, Dogs or Titans in spoonbowl. Hope it doesnt come down to the last round, we haven't even got Lodge this time to give the finger to the Mt Smart crowd.
