Other players aren't allowed to be in the presser.
Stacey said something & he laughed at it
A moment in time & suddenly it becomes a whole other thing...
We're all looking for answers and somebody, anybody, to blame but no need to make up shite!
This wasn't at the presser, this was in the post match on-field interview.

A few years back when Thomas Leuluai was last playing for us, the players were all laughing on the field after a loss. They got slammed in the media for it, and they seemed to get the message and comeback and make a finals run.

I just think you shouldn't be laughing 1 minute after a loss, just as a sign of respect to your fans.

If someone cracks a joke at a presser 30 minutes later, sure laugh.

Wrighty's 2023 Analysis

Warriors in 2023 compared to NRL 2022 line ups in the bottom 12 teams

5) Broncos vs 2023 warriors - will be an interesting game. Think the broncos with a 3rd year Walsh will be too much for us.
6) Eels of 2022 vs 2023 warriors - Eels would beat us. Even with a new coach. but game would be tighter than what we saw two days ago
7) Rabbitohs with Latrell - Rabbitohs too much if Latrell not suspended
8) Manly with Turbo Tom = depends which Turbo shows up.
9) Roosters - They are looking stale this year. I think 2023 Warriors could pip them
10) Dragons - Reckon we will be about as good as the 2022 Dragons. Anyone's game
11) Raiders - 2023 Warriors to win comfortably
12) Knights - we can beat them
13) - 16th) - we would beat all of the cellar dweller teams

This rather simple and dirty analysis has us finishing just outside of the 8 next year. We would need to make a marquee signing for next year or Andrew Webster to be a genius coach who can get us beating teams better than us on paper.
Your interesting analysis missed the Storm.

I think 2023 Warriors have shot against the current 2022 lineup. They are imploding. Lost 3 in a row. Keep player including Papenhausen, B Smith, Coates, Welch, Jennings, etc all out.

Good time to meet them in 2 weeks!

Normally I'd agree but not this time. Their interviews at the end of Brown's reign were just sad. They had reached the end and had almost nothing left.

As for maning up after the Covid lockdowns. We have no reserve grade team, no women's team, stuff all juniors. Transit players leaving, a fill in coach. Our season was over with 10 games to go. And we haven't even begun on the personal affects on players . Covid's a big reason, NOT an excuse.

Yes there will be better days ahead but the only thing our team have to get excited about is the end of season and coming home to some real time with their families.

So if under Stacey's watch, they're having fun, I say keep on enjoying it. Hopefully they'll get some love of life and the game back.

Tonbridge (Swanley)

Tonbridge (Swanley)

Still a hard watch.

We are trying to make an effort, but still look like a team that's not played together. I tend to pause and fast forward as soon as we fall behind.

They do look better since Brown's been given the boot. But looking at other teams we just lack flair or being ad hoc.

Walsh will be no great loss. He's got a lot of improvement to go before he becomes a decent FG fullback.

Waipiro

Maybe, but flair alone is not enough.

I've got a feeling he'll fall by the wayside, unless he can bulk up and learn to defend.
Yep I agree with ya...... I think that number 1 at the Broncos could be hard to keep if he doesn't get his defence right quickly.

For us Vailea and Volkman seem to have a bit of x factor about them and metcalfs pace wont go amiss if he can run some good support lines.
