Also no idea why you're holding the almost 3 years away from home against the club. Most of the things you posted have a logical explanation except for the lodge and to an extent Aitken situation.
Holding it against them?? I am simply stating why our club is in this position. In my opinion buddy. And feel for them. Toys have been thrown out the cot, And performances on feild have dropped.
This has been the hardest years for the club in its history.

Mentally , We have checked out. I don't blame them. But, I wish we had the mental fortitude to use this to our advantage & play even harder.

Reece play of the ball error and Tohu Harris play of the ball error were the losing of the match.

You can't afford basic controllable errors.

Tohu Harris made great metres at prop and is better suited there going forward. His days of distributing and playmaking are over some years ago.

Reece played stand off / first receiver on offence. Just put him at 6 and be done with it, What is the worst that can happen? we lose?

Curran had hands of clay on that sweep move to him. Hit his chest. "the pass was too hard".

I don't know what to say. They had better cattle than us and won. However we looked like a legit NRL team and played strongly.

Niukore was a point of difference for them and ran 123 metres from lock.

Don't see the point in dropping Walash for another player who won't be here next year.

Having said that if we do it I wouldn't blink either.

Would just prefer it be someone who may actually have a shot next year.

Badly need a good attacking coach ... too many wasted predictable plays near their goal line. Shaun Johnson looks confused, the attack game plan doesnt suit him... Overall POS' rosters good need the right coaches.. this season has been about coaching crap.. Eels aint really a good team, just jammed their way through the season..
Best thing that came out of this game was the attitude we have.. need to be coached right...
Yep ! Shaun Johnson kicking game so predictable! First half wasn’t bad , all ways seem to find the self destruct button in second half though! Seem to take 2 steps forward then 3 back ! Would like to see Volkman - Walsh together Harris tevita fullback ! Drop Johnson and give Freddy more time in dummy half!

Wrighty's analysis

2023
Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad in for Walsh equals 6 points less scored per game and 8 points less points allowed.
Metcalf in for Chanel Harris-Tavita at standoff equals 6 points more per game.
Barnett and Niukore in for Sironen/Aitken equals 5 more metres per set of six hit ups.

I think we will be a more steady team next year. Ed Kosi playing well last night was also a major development and indicates he can be third wing next year without us having to recruit a wing.

Don't what Walker does for us - depends how they use him.

With next years team in a fantasy game they would have scored 20-22 points and we would have scored 18-20 points and still lost but closer

I’ve said it time and time again.

We need more piggies in our stock.

Addin Fonua-Blake can’t do it all himself.

Tohu Harris’z frame is not the thick heavy boned type. Neither is Pene. And I’ve finally given up on Bunty. Jazz at prop? what a laugh.

The only guy I see on the bench who I think can be the next Ben Matulino is Eli Katoa. That kid cracked heads when he first came on the scene. Then he went on some Jenny Craig diet in the next off season, and hasn’t been seen from since.

Fatten the kid up, feed him with lard if you need to, and bring him back next season as a full on power Prop. He has the right bone structure to do damage up the middle. The answer to our forward problem is staring us right in the face. It’s not even funny anymore….

Well - the point would be winning again, like last game for example.

Not sure Charnze would be allowed to play with us just yet.

In hindsight Walsh was introduced to young and inexperienced and it would have been better for his development to learn slower.

He actually needed putting in his place for his own good. Not got the kicking; choosing his position; freedom to play how he wants.

We wanted to keep him happy as a future superstar who might resign but I fee we have done him wrong.
