The surprise factor is Volkman for Chanel Harris-Tavita instead of Shaun Johnson. only after seeing it, i actually now think its the right call. Chanel Harris-Tavita wont be here next year, Shaun Johnson is the most experienced half and bringing in a halfback on debut.

Man we need Addin Fonua-Blake back now more than ever. I reacon if Addin Fonua-Blake passes the fitness checks wel see Addin Fonua-Blake with Afoa, Tevaga moves to the bench and Chanel Harris-Tavita dropped.

Changes needed to happen in the backs. thought i saw Aitken back to centre got me excited for a bit then realised it was Arthurs so was still good news. Berry is waay off NRL quality right now.

Good on Volkman getting a debut and hope it all goes well, but it's a real shame he's coming into a environment thats not good for learning, what a mess this club has become!

Johnson I hope you pull your fucken head in and help this young man grow, when you made your debut I was in Sydney that night. It was a tough ol game that night but you had good leaders there helping you out.

Everyone was so excited to see you put the jumper on for the first time! Now it's time out leaders help out our young guys.

I'm guessing they have spent a LOT of time together, with Stacey's involvement with the halves and team.
If there's any relationship there at all, it might help bring Chanel Harris-Tavita back to the game.

Been watching a bit of Volkman in the last couple of QCup games, looks to be fairly well organised playing in structure with a decent enough kicking game.

This will be an extreme test for him. The policy for blooding young players against teams we know we can’t beat continues.

I think Stacey should dial it back here. We aren't looking for a major upset here (those days are behind us, we leave that kind of fun to the Dogs), but if we could keep them to unders that would be a small miracle.

TAB has the Panthers at a generous $1.04. If I had a cool million I'd put it down and make an easy 40k.
