Recorded the game. Watched it back. Not surprised by the result.

Tigers next up at home. The Warriors should win at home, no excuses, no exceptions. They need to win for themselves, for the club and for the fans. Lose and they might as well give the spoon to us.

Did you get the Foxtel commentators in Nz on Sky?
I thought Shane Flanagan s comments were really useful.
Too many set up plays.
The opposition just move the ball and don’t waste opportunity.
Arthur’s / tick
Volkman / satisfactory debut
Liked Chanel Harris-Tavita as back up hooker provided energy

Addin Fonua-Blake uses his size but to my eyes he doesn’t run hard.
Lots people bag Bunty but he makes some determined hard runs.
If Addin Fonua-Blake ran harder a difference would occur.

Positive is we got 40 put on us instead of 70 Shaun Johnson needs a rocket put up him talking in the huddle after his piss poor effort all season is anyone really gonna listen to what he says
Yeah all the boys were taking red hot crack and he was glory boy calling for the near the try line.

Looks like Benji's text did nothing for Shaun Johnson.

Honestly I seen him do a pop pass. For no one cutting back. There was literally no one running inside. Him. Thats how ingrained his play is.

I liked Volkman's variety but I think we still have a problem he appears to be a 6.which leavws us with no 7 for next year.

Overall I liked the game and how it panned out we had chances and showed grit but we didnt curb our silly late penalties. And when youre trying to get up its a fine line really.

Honestly was about what everyone expected, though I think the Warriors are actually improving a bit each week. Seemed like we were making fewer simple errors - the kickouts on the full etc. and actually had a few forced dropouts and putting pressure on their defense at times, still a few bad reads on defense and a couple of our smaller players being run over pretty easily 1 on 1, we also lack the go forward other teams have with running metres but if we continue to improve, are able to get a good head coach with decent assistants, I think next year we could be in with a chance. Have some good signings coming too with Niukore and Walker. I think Volkman did well for his debut, couple bad defensive reads and got run over but didn't make any simple errors and when he linked up with Walsh a few times looked threatening. I think Walsh and Volkman did have a couple of decent defensive tackles as well but need to remember these guys are still developing kids and their best footy still to come. Definitely see positive things for the future!

One step closer to thy utensil of wood.

May our soups be frothy and our pancakes battered the way grandma used to make them.

Others may covet such a prize, but the ladder is like our defense - all shall pass - and the oaky handled round ended stirrer of all things liquid will finally be ours.....

I agree.

Volkman was going well I thought created a few chances.

Murchie and sironen as the edges was a good move. More leg speed kept their usually dangerous edges quietly.

Arthars, Curran made huge differences on defence. It looked like our mental toughness got a decent shot of confidence.

Yes the deletion of Berry probably meant Penrith didn’t score 50 or 60.
I was reasonably happy at 34/6 but 40/6 made me use my voice.
Our attack was pretty dull but overall a few small green shoots of positivity only small but I thought some improvement off an awfully low base.
I think Shaun Johnson might as well finish up this year - he was playing better at the Sharks.
Back to Mt Smart
A big home ground
Let’s hope we lift and perform to reward the home crowd - need a big performance !

The game went as expected, we are just not good enough.
The Panthers are a class act, we are years behind them in every department.
Across the park they are superior, and in most cases by a country mile.
We have forgotten how to win and pity help us if we do not turn up next game.

Have not read previous posts.

Have to say I was proud of the team tonight, score line did not reflect the performance we put in.

Playing against the Number 1 team we could’ve thrown the towel in.

Curran really stood out to how much effort he puts in.

Not gonna say anything negative...that result is what it is at this stage.

What i will say is this...i love how much Curren hates the fuck out of losing. Scores and you can see he cant stand the celebration of his teamates. Same as him giving it to Shaun Johnson the other week. His attitude is exactly what is needed in the next few years.
