I’m hoping that the team named is a pisstake or it’s intended to throw the Sharks off.. This might be better suited to the Pick my team thread but I’m crossing my fingers come Sunday that the team looks something more like this

Pretty close to what I would pick. Would swap Sironen out for just about anyone else though, the most invisible player to ever pull on a Warriors jersey.

I m not sure where this should be posted but Paul Turner is at 6 for the Titans with AJ Brunson at 1 due to Jayden Campbell injury and Will Smith having done a Brownie and departed for Sydney

Talakai was kept pretty quiet in that last game if I recall. I'm not too worried about the line up itself as these players can definitely perform at a higher level than they have been recently. Not expecting drastic changes to structure and all the other areas we're lacking, but hopefully Stacey brings a bit of a bounce in motivation.

Why does Tohu Harris continue to wear #12 but play in the middle? Did this help him win the Dally M Second Rower of the Year award in 2020 as 2 guys get picked for the position?

It's to do with jersey sizes from memory.

Most NRL teams only have one or two sets of the game day jerseys. The 12 jersey is likely bigger than the 13 would be my guess.

It’s hard to not want to see changes on the field when these same guys got flogged by a team that is far worse than the team we are about to come against.

That being said, after giving it a while to sink in and seeing what Jones has had to say to the media today, I would be happy if those changes on the field came in the form of a gutsy effort from this lineup rather than putting different guys in.

Still wish at least one or two things were changed lol, still got 4 days to see what the team will really look like though.

Benji Marshall on Triple M this week thought swapping out Chanel Harris-Tavita and Johnson might unlock the halves combo.
He thought this might also increase the involvement of Walsh whose impact has been diluted with Shaun Johnson arrival.

Jones said straight away we just need a bit of stability right now. A cool head. My hope is he’s giving the team a chance to respond to him and then can make changes. I don’t think coming in and ripping things apart now would get us playing better.

I see Brad Fitler is approaching NRL coaching for a :"please explain" on some contentious calls. in the SoO match.

I would like for once a coach, when an opposition player grounds the ball short of the line, which is clearly seen on Video ref, which should either be no try or penalty double movement, that our Coach sticks up for us and says calmly in the media, but then goes to town on the NRL.

These decisions can decide if a club makes the 8 and can also cost the club millions due to some stupid decisions. Time to start standing up like Fitler is, maybe all the coaches should join a Union, Coaches talk to Refs Union

Fitler has way less justification to bitch than any warriors coach but I agree. It's something that just has to be worked on along with everything else.

Was about as fair as a game gets these days - both sides got some baffling calls that made absolutely no sense. Bunch of things got missed/a blind eye turned to. I'm a Blues fan through and through, but at the end of the day the team who deserved to win, won.

I would like to watch a game completely from a camera on the refs head. They have a completely different angle to what we see. Eventually sport will be officiated by machines

Yeah, they gonna happen in every game, everybody is pretty clear on the ones that are in question, but imo all 50/50.

Imagine if SoO got some of the calls the Warriors have had to endure this year.

Ive almost resorted to expecting the video ref to just agree wth the onfield no matter how much evidnce shows that its a wrong call. Until they change it so it goes up without a refs opinion nothing will change.

But I would like to see our Captain and then after our coach question the refs over obviously wrong decisions. Keep the pressure on, so the rub of the green doesnt go all the other way.

Ok SOO should be on another thread... so getting back to the sharks v warriors game discussion .. I'm glad Stacey hasn't changed the team.. well see how they respond now. Sharks are a good team, yet I've always felt we are better. On paper anyway, this could be a game that goes either way. As usuaul hope the boys click and win... but we'll see...
