I don't get why Volkman was rushed over then not played. At least he would be getting some quality development at Roosters. I don't understand what Lussick did wrong and what Egan offers over him. He should have to wait in line - he's not a must-have. I don't know why Arthars doesn't get in over Berry. Welcome to bizarre world.

Hi all,

I've been watching the Warriors for years like most and I believe the real issue with them is the final 10/20 minutes of most games where they simply implode!!

On a side note - I know the Warriors don't have the luxury of playing at Mt. Smart (home ground) where they're much tougher to beat so with covid they are always playing away games which doesn't help them win games due to the opposition's home ground advantage.

Anyway back to what I was saying about the final 10/20 minutes where the Warriors implode!! For the Warriors to improve they need to change the format of how they play. For the first 60 minutes of the game they should play typical footy (arm wrestle, razzle dazzle etc) - like they do already - but the important thing they need to do is stay in "score contention" (i.e. keep their score and the opposition's score very even such as 12-10 or 18-20, neck and neck) unless they can pile the points on which they rarely do.

The Warriors need to execute an enhanced game plan so they can win games during the 60-80 minutes where they lose most of them! There needs to be a huge overhaul in tactics during this period.

Another thing is the Warriors have fast wingers in Montoya, Dallin Watene-Zelezniak and these guys need to be put into space (strike-weapons) using Walsh as a decoy etc - like how the Storm would put Addo-Carr into space on numerous occasions in previous seasons.

The starting line ups actually look pretty even... their bench shits on ours.
If our outside backs can keep the errors down ( I had a look and we're actually only 7th for errors and have only 3 players in the top 50 for errors per game but theyre all in our outside backs and theyre all playing this week- Dallin Watene-Zelezniak, walsh and berry) I give us half a chance.
Would love to see pompey carve up morgan- Pompey has been looking quite dangerous and I dont know what it is about morgan but he just looks like the type of player youd wanna smash haha.
No expectations but a win would be a nice surprise/ change.

I'm all for developing young talent for the future but this is a bit absurd. What's the definition of insanity? "Trying the same thing over and over again but expecting different results"? Obviously it's painful to watch the Warriors right now given the diabolical state of the club, but I would be more willing to defend the team if Brown actually tried something different. The results are far from what everyone wants, so why do we keep doing the same thing? By all means have faith in the players, but they have to earn the right to be on an NRL field first. I'm sorry to say, at the moment, Berry and Pompey don't deserve a shirt. And Harris is a nice, ball-playing loose yet for some reason he finds himself on the edge with Murchie of all people taking the 13. I think I'm quite indifferent towards Murchie, but I'm sure he's not a better 13 than Harris. And if he can't play on the edge, then Sironen or Katoa can do it - granted they're both good for a few errors a game, but if we're gonna develop players I think Katoa probably shows more promise than Berry or Pompey at this present time. Fundamentally, I believe we have reached a point where Brown should walk us through why he has chosen the team from 1-18. I want to understand why certain players are omitted and others get the nod. I want to understand why tactics aren't changing every week. I want to understand what he hopes they will achieve.

It can get very frustrating at times.

You could equally argue that we probably should have lost to the Tigers, Cowboys and Raiders and could therefore be back on 2 competition points. I don’t think there’s any real evidence we are better than any other team in the comp - not saying we are necessarily the worst, however I don’t really see the evidence right now that we are a better team than the likes of the Dragons, Titans or Knights.
