As bad as our halves are I can't agree with bringing Volkman into a side that is so underperforming! We need to hold off as long as possible and try bring him in next season, can only see it damaging his confidence at the moment while this team is a shit show.

Let's those two so called nrl stars run this show like they have all year, let these so called leaders try and lead this mess.

If I'm purely looking at development for Volkman, maybe give him the last five rounds when it's well and truly over?
At some stage Brown has to do something tho, he has to try something different. Last night Egan wasn’t good enough (wether that was abit undercooked?) Chanel Harris-Tavita or Shaun Johnson has to spend a week or two off. Why doesn’t Brown drop Chanel Harris-Tavita and move Walsh to 7 and Johnson to 6? What has he got to lose?

Alot of talk to drop Shaun Johnson and bring in volkman online. I personally wouldnt risk bringing in a potential good talent when the teams heads and morale is down. Would ruin him, yeah he might play with some excitement the first few games but even Walsh aint playing as good as he did when he came onto the scene. Would hold Volkman to round 1 next year when heads arent down. Id rather sit Shaun Johnson out and bring walsh into the halves. Need someone a bit bigger at FB.

It is a team effort though, cant single johnson out for our defense. Edges werent moving up or putting on pressure. The forwards got rolled. There was no one committed apart from imo Montoya to put body on the line (even un the middle where its two, three player tackling). No one seemed to be marking there opposition.. it's not hard, mark them, put the pressure on them and commit to stopping them one on one, if you move up on them you have the momentum against them but need to ensure you make the tackle or slow them down atleast, be in there face as they're about to catch the ball. but heads and morale went down and again we find ourselves in that hole. Our fitness doesnt help either.

Attack is non existent. Swear its just pass the ball around and hope. No set plays at all, no enthusiasm. No one knows what the other players going to do and no one expects anything, thats why its drop balls or passes to touch on the edges or forward passes in the middle. We're not standing deep enough either where we can run onto it with some speed and have a chance to catch, almost as flat as the defense line at times i.e the intercept amd thats Manly being in our face. Egan or Walsh makes breaks but there's never anyone supporting because no ones aware or paying attention. Forwards are too readable.. dummy half to Tohu Harris, Tohu Harris to the forward in the outside of him.. over and over again. We dont even offload as much as we used to anymore. Our line breaks and post contact meters are the worst, no ones trying when they get to the line or it falls apart from the above BS. Chanel Harris-Tavita was on in goal line attack but no one was with him or at his level of will and again..they didnt know what to expect from him.. aint hard to be there in support though

Manly came out with a hop and a skip, alot of confidence and enthusiasm in the first half, looked like every player was had a line before kick off. But they also knew the direction one was going and where they were going, they had an idea of what to expect from there outsides and inside team mates, where to be and where the rest of there team was.

I can't even remember the last time we actually gave a team a hiding or blew another team off the park.

Attack and fitness coaches need to answer some serious Qs.

Blown off the park in that first half but all of the above has been consistent in games for the past couple of years. Need a confidence boost, change of mindset and some belief. Rant over lol.

Walsh is the long term solution at the back though, there are so many issues! Even our shape on attack is not direct enough.

When Johnson throws it out the back the opposition defensive line has already moved out because Johnson and the lead runner have not engaged the Defenders enough, it's just fucked how Johnson is playing at the moment but a halves change is not the answer right now imo.

Thoughts on Egan? Part of the problem or part of the future?
Contract says future, but sure needs help can play 80 but not an effective 80. Him and lussick should shoot it out last half of the season and let Otukolo simmer in reserves.

Do you think Blake and Lodge made Egan look good when they getting a roll on fonz? Everyone says he brings the forwards on well but didn't really notice that last night.

Just the clubs so down!

Is Shaun Johnson playing so bad on purpose to get rid of brown??? Those first couple 10mtr bombs from inside our own half really looked on purpose. Those kicks set the tone for the game and put them pressure on us right from start and we never recovered. He’s got to go!!!

WTF did the hookers not get rotated? Brown needs to go to. Not only can he not get the team up, his bench rotation is insanity.

This was the first time I had watched the sea eagles play this year…..walker almost plays as the dominant half when he’s on. Will be interesting to see how we use him, hopefully we will have a new coach that can utilise him well.

Idk where the warriors go from here. It seems they're going to struggle to sign talent because most NRL players don't want to sign for a struggling club but also most NRL players seem to believe a rumour that Auckland is as bad as Baghdad and don't want to move to NZ.

Shaun Johnson is playing woefully, Chanel Harris-Tavita tries but doesn't seem to offer any spark in attack. Walsh looks good at times but is still very raw. Egan tries his guts out but has his own weaknesses. Without Addin Fonua-Blake their front row looks and plays light. Katoa when he's been picked seems to not be able to catch the ball or not give away penalties and the other second rowers other than Aitken and the injured Curran seem pretty average to the point they appear non-existent until the other team forces and error or stops them scoring a certain try. Their outside backs don't seem threatening when they do get early ball or some space. Tohu Harris is only a few weeks back from an ACL and isn't yet at his best. They desperately need Addin Fonua-Blake and Curran back
