Intersting to see Volkman straight into the reserves. Shaun Johnson will be replaced by Volkman one could fabricate. But Chitty has turned a corner with the no drinking and maturity. I cant wait to see him smash into the line and fold their big boys in half.
I hope Brown using Lussick and Otukolo like Bellamy uses Harry and Wombat !

Our biggest issue is Villiami and the edge defense (even Montoya made a dumb move last week jumping out). Arthers ideally would be in the team, but possibly Brown sees this as an easier game to develop Villiami.

Villiami Tackles 39, Missed Tackles 18 !!!!!!!!!! OUCH !!!!!!
Jesse Arthars Tackles: 111, Missed tackles 12

Thats about 50% vs 90%. I still dont get why. Villiami is a player who needs intensive defensive training in RG next year.

I was a little tipsy watching the game last week so don’t have the best recollection but I thought villy actually had good reads. He just got bumped off a few times but managed to slow him down until support came. Not the best way to defend but better than other centres we have who just make glaring misses due to misreads, those lead to tries 100% of the time. I truely think he will end up being a super star. Still only 19 and 2nd year in league (I think) with very limited game time

I totally agree. I like him, he showed footwork on offense. But right now isnt the time for the Warriors to teach him how to tackle and read defense. They need their best defenders in centre. Chitty is back in so he will fix the Asi defensive issues. But the centres are so important on defense.

That's our biggest problem. Throwing guys straight into the deep end. Fuck all junior structures. Aussie youngsters come through intense learning experience.
They're ready for FG long before our guys are.
Looking at our Fox results lately it's a joke

Nobody needs to watch the game on Saturday as I have already seen the game and can tell you what will happen.
Stephen Kearney, patron saint of the Warriors, came to me in a dream last night and showed me a prophecy of what would play out.

1) Dunamis Lui late inclusion for Kata. Dunamis to start at 10 instead of Jazz.
2) Warriors to be asleep at the wheel for the first ten minutes and let in a soft try at the 6 minutes mark.
3) Warriors to fire up and get out to 14 to 6
4) 5 minutes before half time the warriors do nothing wrong but get penalised anyway in an effort to even up the penalty count and Knights score. 14 to 12 at half time
5) After the break instead of getting into the grind the Warriors go for a back breaking try and Shaun Johnson throws a rainbow pass for his winger that is intercepted and Knights get a length of the field intercept try to Dominick Young.
6) After Knights are in front 18 to 12 panic and desperation sets into the warriors. Various outside backs are bundled into touch early in the tackle count to hand over posession. The Knights get a glut of possession by comparison and eventually through repetition of sets score again and the game finishes 24 to 12.

After the match it is generally agreed on the forum Dunamis had a reasonable outing and there is something to work with there.
It is also agreed that:
  • Otukulo despite falling off multiple tackles and giving away mountains of post contact metres needs more games because he is the future.
  • None of our backs seem to have good days on the same day. This week it will be noted Montoya and Pompey did well while Dallin and Vaillea seemed low on their bio rhythms for the game.
  • Reeve Walsh played well although some curiosity forming as to why he hasn't scored a try yet.

Asi's a centre, I'd bet my last dollar that's he's faster than Pompey.

Pompey has all the attributes to be a good NRL back except speed. Makes you wonder if the Warriors even test out their speed before they sign these guys.
yeah pretty slow backs ....Shaun Johnson lost much speed ... small pack slow backs FSS! I don't think we will win another game this season its all just falling apart >> fucking disgrace ...

I took some of the posts from last week on board...

as a few were saying that they don't even bother to watch the Warriors games anymore, and when having drinks with friends that they will have an occasional glance over to the TV to see what the score is.

I have probably missed watching maybe 2 Warriors games since inception...

And for some time now, I have been watching the games and having no expectations of a win or a loss and having a total loss of enjoyment and being somewhat emotionless.

So we are off to Eagle Farm races on Saturday and if I'm in the bar buying a lager, I may just glance up at the telly to see what the score is.

Sorry!

You will be out of the quaddie first leg, just in time to sit back!

when, this is Newc Rd 11 thread.
If you mean next year? Cant make a play at Arthars as is under contract Broncos untl end of year.
Asi, I would say if Chitty really is passing up crica $300k to do nothing then Metcalf or Walsh, Volkman is our Reserve half though. Possibly our future 7 if Chitty doesnt ever come back.
Aitken, meh, plenty of 80min back rowers, but have Walker at 14.
The main thing we missing is the front row, which made that Sharks/Bunty rumour a little more absurd. We do need some more ball playing in the forwards with Addin Fonua-Blake down and Lodge sucking money while not playing. NRL should ban him and allow Warriors Salary Cap compensation.

Geeze I miss the races in Bris, so nice with the sun and low 20s temp, perfect drinking weather.

But you will be missing the one game this year I would think we should definitely win, even missing so many important players. Brown left a train wreck there which is still being fixed. At least with us the signings are mostly good and a most coaches would see a lot of potential in our 30 man.

Just saw the odds for this game. We are favs for some reason. WTF.

yeah bro. They pretty screwed to be fair. Ponga is the only real threat and possibly Klemmer running a line in the red zone. But we been favs like this earlier in the season until we started losing enough for nobody to start backing us.

But this is the after match of Nathan Brown convincing you he can rebuild your club. A more knowledgeable and responsible CEO imo would have given different advice to new owners. But that requires a club footy brain.

There could have been some great bets to be made if Nathan Tinkler was the owner of the Knights still.

First player to be abused in the sheds at halftime by the owner.
First owner to don the yellow shirt and run water.
