Just heard Tevaga and I think hes now my favorite player, he understands what its all about. I say keep him at prop, hes got a bit of Gilmeister about him. The edges look ok to me, they can attack and defend. As Tevaga and the commentators said, the mistakes killed them and have all year.. and Shaun Johnsons defense on the edge is terrible, he constantly pushes in and the other outside backs are forced into a 2 on one, maybe they should put Shaun Johnson centre field on defence and move tevaga out wider.
Put Shaun Johnson in centre field ? Leave him of the fuckin field

Possession wins games - this round:

Storm 56% Manly 44%. Storm 20 point win
Panthers 57% cows 43%. Panthers 22 point win
Broncos 54% Titans 46%. Broncos 11 point win
Warriors 56% Knights 44%. Warriors loss by 8
South’s 56% tigers 44%. South’s 26 point win

One of these results is not like the others… that possession is massive and should have resulted in a 20 point win.
Everybody doing their jobs gets the win. Players kicking the ball out at costly times and poor mistakes isn’t doing your job. Tackling and not making mistakes is the job description required.

I feel like Ben Murdoch-Masila gets a rough wrap. Was bought here as impact player to damage the edges and he was so fucking good at that until some genius decided to play him in the middle and keep Aitken on the edge instead of centre just because he had ONE fucking good game.

This club digs it own grave
You mean Ben Murdoch-Masila had a good game for MMT against the Kangaroos. He sure dined out on that one.

You only get superior possession stats like that when everyone does their job and outplays the opposition. Tackles better, finishes their sets, high completion, gets repeat sets, superior run meters, etc.

Yea we made dumb mistakes but so did the knights.

We lacked attacking punch to put the game away and the critical moments were left to be decided by the refs.

Jazz is a big talker, given how shite hes been for so long before he stopped his errors. He was a flog for so long that SK stuck with him. If it werent for desperation last 2 years for players he would be in the Super League.
You the only prick only here hating Jazz week in week out, seems Personal mate. Shows how, much you know about league, ridulous comments, mate you have every opportunity to get your own contract in the nrl and do better, but you are proberly an overweight shit talking ozzie, as Jazz would say ' fuck off'

The Warriors were the better team but they made worse mistakes

When we put 24 points on the board the other week, Brown said that should be enough to win. The last two matches have seen 24 against us, it’s not attack that’s costing but defence. We try to defend our points and shut up shop on attack.

Were some of the team even trying (after the first 20 minutes that is)?

Too many errors, not enough footy IQ. We weren't beaten in this game by the refs, or possession, or even territory. We beat ourselves by doing stupid shit. Again.

Couple of highlights:
Jazz's interview (what was up with him only getting 40 mins - he's not actually a prop Brown)
Thought Lussick looked promising when we were going forward.
Harris' effort and workrate.
Did you not see jazz went off for an Hia?

Disagree.

We led in possession, run meters, made less tackles, better completion rate. Statistically we should have won. Errors was fairly even at 10/8.

Instead we missed being awarded a clear penalty try; their try put down looked lost; we get a player sent off only after the crowd calls for it which leads to a try; a bogus relieving penalty when the players were square that leads to a try. That’s a 4 try turnaround against the Warriors directly from the ref. Game; set; match…

I will repeat. Statistically we were about 10% better than the knights and should have won.
Not even mentioning the play at the ball when we were hot on attack. Shaun Johnson was blowing up over it too long maybe but he had every right to.

I am not capable of drinking enough alcohol to numb my mind from the cluster f*** of an organization that is unfolding total amateur organisation lead by a egotistical alpha male with money.

The club is technically in a good training and playing environment but any excuses of covid are far behind us. We don't need outside influences to screw us we are more than capable of total self destruction and now capitulation.

Wombat Robinson now has no option but to pull the trigger and say Brown didn't fit in, even though I think there is other possibilities for Brown as there would have been for Kearney.

I am inclined to think Brown may in fact full on his sword, the best thing for his mental health. This is now a shambles through and through and quite frankly the NZ fans may vote with their feet, and stay away.
Cameron George should stand up to Robinson or resign the legacy of the Warriors is at an all time low.

My six year old daughter was cheering them on and wanted to know what happened to them I actually apologized to her for bringing her up as a Warriors fan and I meant it, and told her we might have to explore other options.

Actually became emotionally detached was hoping for a win but absolutely resigned to the mediocrity dished up by the club.

Hadn’t realised how fucked our culture is.

Sure, all the Aussie players don’t want to play for us, but I never saw Chanel Harris-Tavita not wanting to play for us coming. On the field, he seemed like the only guy who wanted to play for us!

That’s how fucked we are!

PS – Really like Chanel, but I read that he is looking to pursue his writing. Just like how Johnny Tuivasa-Sheck wanted to pursue influencer life. How did that work out? Pretty sure Roger is feeding him.

These guys need to understand that there are people who have spent their entire existence trying to be writers/influencers, just like they have spent your lives being rugby league players.

You don’t just get to rock up and be a star at some shit you know nothing about or have not spent the time developing the skills for. The fact Chanel, one of the seemingly more balanced Warriors thinks he can do this, is extremely disturbing.

Shut up and play some rugby league and respect the club as much as the fans do.
When did he ever say he was going to be a star writer mate?

If he dont want to make ridiculous amounts of money to throw a ball around, and instead pursue something that makes him truly happy then good on him i say. Its his life, and imo its a very brave decision to step away from something you have done all your life to start a new.

Also, playing for the warriors would make anyone lose their passion for footy. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck left for less than half the pay, Chanel Harris-Tavita leaving for literally nothing, lodge wanted out. Its a recurring theme, different players but the one constant is the club they are leaving.

Where do you rate the players?
Sorry player ratings will be put on later this week.

Currently dealing with some serious issues that has put the future of this site at risk due to a number of posts in the past week.

I will remind everyone once and for all. If you post anything remote to slander on this site you seriously impact this site , yourself, myself and my company which funds this site as a hobby. The many warnings given are simply not working, and thread reply bans are not working as people chose to bypass and post to other threads. So thread reply bans are going away and full site reply bans will be enforced going forward. Anything remotely classified as slander will be permanent site bans (you will not be able to access this site even without logged in). Zero tolerance. One strike and you are out. New rules will be detailed in a few days.

I would highly recommend people start thinking before pushing the "post reply" button going forward.

Please help us out by pushing "report" on such posts.

Thanks to everyone who already do that and positively impact this site.

This.
Exactly.
90seconds to go take the penalty becomes 24/18.
Get the ball and chance your arm from the Knights kick off.
I think Shaun should retire this year we need a new set of halves next year.
I was surprised by our forwards. I thought the Knights would steamroll us but no.
I didn’t think Frizelles try was a try. I didn’t think Montoya should have been sent off.
And I think Shaun Johnson Reece and Chanel Harris-Tavita should be practising kicking for 20 hours each this next week.
We are at rock bottom.
Absolute rock bottom.
No improvement until we are back permanently at Maurice Rd.
You can't take a shot for goal for a scrum penalty?
