Dallin Watene-Zelezniak and the Warriors have set themselves a one-month target where they plan to find consistency ahead of their long-awaited return to Mt Smart Stadium on July 3.

If I could ask Dallin what does reaching your potential look like? You get a bit tired of throw away comments sometimes. Don't get me wrong I love this team but actions speak louder than words.

I think if we don’t look better with Tohu Harris Harris’ leadership and organising as we did last week, we should worry. Organising was Roger Tuivasa-Sheck job and I’m not sure Walsh has that yet.

Was interesting watching nrl 360 night and they were talking about how important spine players are to a team and the used the storm as an example and their loss to the panthers. Even though it was the panthers, the storm didn’t play anything like usual with Hughes and papenhuysen out. Can recall Trent Robinson at the start of the season saying it tends to take about 6 rounds to see who your top team is, I suppose injuries just prolong that.

Just to clarify what I meant by the storm not playing like usual missing those two as they are big losses but the storm usually have a policy that next man up gets the job done.

Murchie was an energy bunny & he was great defensively and recently carrying as well, since he came off the bench a few weeks ago, much improved. Hope he maintains the form and don't drop the ball

Vailea literally beat 3 defenders and ran 30m last week or the week before, his attacking is there and will only get better, hope they sort out the defense....

Arthurs is almost ready, play him on the wing or centre next week?

I think he'd only work out on the Wing if we had Aitken next to him at Centre to help out with our yardage carries. Imagine Walsh taking the kick return, Arthars carry 2 & Vailea/Berry carry 3. We'd be repeatedly be kicking from inside our 30m

I am thinking Walsh to Monty for 1, Walsh off dummy half for 2, Vailea/Pompey for 3, that’s the best combo we’ve got.

IMO Vailea is fine Berry just goes backwards

I am impressed when Walsh snipes, hope he keeps doing it more

Vailea is particularly weak on carry 2, he falls down in the tackle and also turns away from contact and is sually a slow player of the ball. Arthars is more direct and is front on in the contact with legs pumping and head nodding, he is good for a penalty as well when hes selling it. we should see say a 5-7metre improvement when he comes back on those carry 2 hit ups

If we could, I’d like to see this backline this weekend - not sure if we’ll be able to as well have to rearrange the forward pack after Lodge is gone, so unlikely to rearrange the backs too.

The net loss of Pompey’s carry’s are covered with Asi and Arthur’s probably being about on par with what Pompey and Vailea do, as Vailea is quite poor at the moment.
Asi in the centres gives us a little more strike out wide, and Arthars is a great hole runner so will go alright too.

I’m picking a big game form Dallin Watene-Zelezniak this week for all those who don’t rate him!
