I have spent 24 hours thinking about it and the verdict is in.

Aitken's screw up on the opening try was worse than Johnson's dropped ball in terms of ineptness.

I saw Aitken later in the game try to run after someone and he had no wheels. Aitken seems to have lost all speed an agility he once had. I mean how hard it is to fall on the ball near the try line? Apparently very hard if your name is Euan Aitken.

I mean that error was unacceptable. Unfortunately the warriors do 5-6 unacceptable errors in a game that a top side would never do.
You probably also didn’t like him fly up out the line and leave Bunty to deal with a 1 on 1 right on the try line either then?

hmmm thats a new one on me. can he lift their pre game and 80 minute intensity as well as being able to train the players into better defensive patterns? Thats all we need to turn from being duds to top 4, we have the squad (once we repair the Addin Fonua-Blake/Lodge issues). I honestly am dissapointed a bit in Addin Fonua-Blake, hes cost us a lot and hes only really put in a few games where he was Alpha. I know he cant help injuries. But given both will add up to 2 years of his contracts, thats a lot to absorb.

We need somebody who can lift this talented mob into playing with heart and pride so they lift like the sharks did against us, so when we run we steam roll teams etc. We have no issues with points. We just need pride/intensity and improved defense, especially on the flanks.

I was going to say Demetriou but I just dont think we could attract him anyway?

Who put their hand up when SK got sacked? Aside from Toovs?

I think owners should sack George, doesnt have any footy too him. Id then move Brown into CEO, he has the higher level knowledge and might just make this club more like an Aus club culture wise. Then put a coach in who can get minimum 45% win rate. From there make the 8, then if Walsh stays, aim for top 4. But we cannot wait if Brown says, oh with covid and players leaving its not my fault, lets see how we go in 2023 with home games. Nah, that will be the same worst coach in Warriors history rubbish. This is why so many ex Kiwi players came out and said sacking SK was a moron move after what the CEO did. SK with this current team would have been such a better fit, natural offense, with SK being focused on the ball handling and defense.

I kinda thought maybe Seibold, he got a rubbish team at the Broncs imo. But my worry is he can only coach top 4 talent much like Brown. Its not really coaching. We need a guy who is hands on, pulls players apart for mistakes, but rebuilds them with how to do it better. So not negative, constructive. And that intensity thing is 95% of winning. If you come out like the Sharks did against us, with out talent, we would rarely lose a game. Pride in your club to defend that try line etc.
I just hope the Owners are going to say enough is enough before letting 2023 go on like this.

This is a good article about bulldogs potential candidates, some who could be willing to come over to us since they can’t have them all. Also some assistants who might be willing to come over like John Morris who had a good relationship with Shaun Johnson at the sharks and may not be kept with the rabbits also struggling.

Things are heating up I feel as has been already said that enough is enough.I for one aren't waiting til end of '23 to see a change. How many fans are left will be another thing.

The difference between us & a quality side having 5 - 6 unacceptable errors in a match is we will always let try's in following the errors. Quality sides have the ability to defend there line. Something we have lacked for a very long time.

Drop him and all the guys not playing next year asap. Please wake up Warriors and realise the playoffs aren't happening this year without both of Lodge and Addin Fonua-Blake. Let's just pick a youthful hard working squad who are just buzzing to get first grade time.

Here is my team for the next match
Despite my last post I would pick Chanel Harris-Tavita as there is a chance he could be here

1 Walsh
2 Ratuva (Give him a go - we have reached that point in the season)
3 Vaillea's his defence was shocking at times but let him learn
4 Pompey hopefully just a bad game
5 Dallin
6 Chanel Harris-Tavita
7 Shaun
8 Afoa
9 Egan he is due back
10 Pene Pasta
11 Not Aitken Murchie
12 Harris
13 Jazz

14 Lussick
15 Ben Murdoch-Masila
16 Kepu Lingi? (the prop)
17 Garrett Smith

Another option is we go get this Salmon deal across the line and Salmon plays 11 and Murchie tries his hand at prop.

You probably also didn’t like him fly up out the line and leave Bunty to deal with a 1 on 1 right on the try line either then?
Yeah, it was him and another forward, that was pathetic D reading. Only good part was bunty sticking too him, but too late once the other 2 had let him through.

The names just keep getting better as you go down.

Flap Id throw Ryles in, Fitler, Green, Wolf but Id still throw Ciraldo in there for his achievements with defense. Morris, Im skeptical as he feels a little low key. Our big boys need motivation, Im not sure he has that, but as assitant, maybe. There are so many good names, some fit us better as head coach, oddly the ones Id want training us I see as 2IC. Get rid of Morgs, figure out where Stacy is headed. Clean it out and straight Head and Assistant coach, possibly with an ex player/coach like Morris to replace George as CEO. Or Wolf with this international player access. Geeze so many damn good names. But I doubt all of those would actually take the job with Bulldogs or with us. But some would. Pick the guy who has made the biggest changes and wins to a club as HC and pick the best trainer as Assistant.

Head Coach: Green/Wolf Assitant: Ryles/Ciraldo

But neither Ryles or Ciraldo would move unless head coach so could be more like HC: Ryles Ass Coach: Wolf

Very hard to say given we wont know until its floated. I just like that Ryles was with winning Roosters for so long. Ciraldo has been so effective with Penrith. That would be a heck of mix but cant happen. For me Ciraldo is the best trainer and he is only 36yo, he is closer to how modern NRL works, but so is Ryles. Yep for me either one of those. Or Green.

So Toovey doesnt want to coach anymore?

I’d take John Morris as head coach

Here is the problem. You cannot learn unless you have a coach who can tear apart what you are doing wrong and give you options on how to do it correctly. That is called coaching. Brown isnt that kind of coach. That is what SK was there for, because thats exactly what Bellamy does, individually and as a team. He doesnt hold back but he also provides solutions.
I see what Villiami was trying to do at centre on offense, I liked it. But fact is he is Kodi on defense and he wont learn without somebody showing him what to do, let alone tearing the entire teams defense apart and rebuilding it. Thats why I want Ciraldo, but there are a whole lot of names out there that are infinitely more effective as Head Coach than Nathan Browns 28% WR. In fact every single coach the Warriors have had has been better than Brown, including sour pus Kemp.

And they say they dont have anyone who wants the job.
Like him or hate him..........GIVE HIM A GO.
I think Toovey was kind of offended as he made it crystal clear he wanted this team. and has since withdrawn, cant blame him. He would have been very effective for our teams problems, defense and intensity.

Out of the write ups for each coach, Green was also one that stood out to me when it said a hard task master. I thought his downfall was letting a broken Thurston go a year too long. Whatever Payten was doing with us and is doing at the cowboys, we need to replicate and I get the feeling that is what payten does. They look like they want to win for him. I read an article about Nikorima a few weeks ago when he left and he made a comment of what a good feeling it is when you feel wanted by the coach, I guess in that sense it’s no different to any other workplace.

If brown was to step down I would do everything in my power to get Cameron Ciraldo.

But how I would do it is to try now to pitch a new role for Nathan Brown as footballing director. Keep his mate in recruiting management. Those two together in recruiting could work well together.

Would let Ciraldo bring in a Assistant he see's fit.

Next option would be Kristian Woolf and then Flanagan.

Pretty disappointing performance again, had some areas of good play but consistently lacking intensity. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak was good and even putting his hand up for some good runs, Tohu Harris was good too, Tevaga decent and Fonua-Blake strong again, we just can't seem to string together a good 40 minutes since basically the first half against the storm and only really beaten one team well all season. The only convincing win I've seen was against the broncos. If you look at our other wins 2 were golden point and one was by a try. Need to step up our defense by a lot. Terrible reads on where ball is going and letting players through too easy. Need to start getting the simple things right as well... Aitkin not able to clean up ball in goal area under little pressure was shocking kosi got dropped for similar play against storm and the energy getting back for defense and offense has been shit. Players standing around offside while team mates trying to keep plays alive. Not playing like a top 12 team atm let alone a top 8 prob won't even beat knights next week 😮‍💨

I agree 100% except for Flanagan, is the only one I dont think will be effective enough. I think a lot of people underestimate how hard it is to drive a club which has a lot of players that have through a system where they are not use to being asked to perform at a level beyond their comfort zone and to do that from kick off, for 80 mins and 24 rounds.

I agree keeping Brown, to effectively use his contacts if honest as you point out.

And for similar reasons I think Wolf might be the best Assistant Coach, his access to international players, but also I think given he has experience with Polynesian players etc, he might have better ways to get them up to Aus standards.

Its a shame you cannot share the Head Coach role, Id love Ciraldo and Wolf, but I dont think either would move to be assistants, of the 2 Wolf might.

I just hope the owners are smart enough to know now what we said 2 years ago, whatever you do not hire Brown as a coach. Im worried this will go on for 2023 and that will be a real waste of an incredible bunch we are putting together (although we need 2 big buggas now).

I mean that error was unacceptable. Unfortunately the warriors do 5-6 unacceptable errors in a game that a top side would never do.
In H & S, they say there is 100 near misses for each injury. In the game there is 100 things we are doing wrong for each error.

Our passes are horrendous - speed, accuracy and technique. It’s one reason our attack is so clunky. Our positioning to receive the ball on attack is bad (Pompey’s pass to the wing - the wing should be positioned behind him…). Our reaction speed seems terrible when unexpected things happen. To many basics that we are just not doing well.

This is all coaching and what/ how we practice.

Honestly thought we were really poor even in the first half, just the Dragons were just as bad. A better team would have smashed us. I also thought the refs let a lot of our thing go that in other games they would have called.
