That's pretty concerning. What I took from that is that Otukolo's a shit trainer.

Lussick has no more 'right to play' first grade than Otukolo. He looked like garbage playing for the Roosters last year and hasnt looked anything special playing for the Bears.

Wayde is acknowledged as a great trainer and clearly a more developed hooker. Why can’t Otukolo look at him as a role model of what hard work looks like?

I’m all for competition for spots though.

You can tell its Gould at the dogs, Ivan at the panthers, Politis at the Roosters. What about the warriors ?

Surely they can identify this before offering him a spot in the top 30. If you're a shit trainer in our system and you're getting promoted anyway what's that tell you and everyone watching?

We don't seem to be able to improve or at least get the best out of any player at all.
At least we are consistent!

Pene has no off load - so it means they can chop his legs immediately in contact.
Initially this season Afoa was showing more post contact metres this year because he showed an off load early, but he has since put that away and his metres have subsequently dwindled proportionately.

If I’m Otukolo I’m signing elsewhere as soon as I can. That’s a kick in the teeth.

Fair enough if it was someone that has actually done something in first grade. Or a prospect that was actually shown to be better than him.

I like the idea of Pene in the middle while our other starting props are on, defence is his strength and with them all feeding off each other I can’t see the rabbits taking on the middle much unless it’s cook with speed. Harris’ playmaking ability needs him on an edge, hopefully we can score points when he’s on and defend them when Katoa needs to sub him. Lussick has no deal for next year and often players are looking to impress to pick one up. He has a real hookers frame, much like that of Egan. If Otukolo hasn’t earned his selection, I’ve got no problem with Lussick picked ahead of him. Would imagine at some point our props are rested Pene goes to prop, Tevaga to lock and Lussick comes on at dummy half. Lodge or Addin Fonua-Blake need to play longer minutes today and hopefully not off for too long at the same time if at all.

I dont think Pene has the passing to do well at lock. We will struggle to score points with him there. I'm expecting some real clunky attack, especially with the way Shaun Johnson has been and Tevaga at hooker.

Would rather Pene as a hole running second rower tbh, has the speed.

In wet conditions it’s probably going to be kept fairly ball in hand anyway. Defence wins.
