Player Roger Tuivasa-Sheck

There might have been an eliminate or risk or investment in his potential with how much we may have paid for Roger Tuivasa-Sheck. But it looks like we gambled on his potential and we came up with a winner.

I prefer a fullback who on kick returns their first instinct is to run direct as it helps with the rest of the team returning on side. Our outside backs were making a lot of yardage on early sets in 2014 when we were going quite well and that was without the fullback really contributing in that area.

The more this season goes and the more he improves the more I'm going back to the original thinking when we signed Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Luke. We should improve a lot it's a matter of the others lifting with the extra class around them. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck gives us a good support runner, he can link out wide like Tomkins, Luke will hope us around the park and our go forward.

I remember someone earlier bringing up about Gus Goulds comments about the price the Warriors paid for Roger Tuivasa-Sheck being too much. That was when the deal was first announced and all before he went on his extraordinary record breaking run.

I asked a couple weeks back on Twitter whether he still held that view and this was his reply...

Probably shouldn't care too much about what the Aussie media think....but the gamble Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is taking in terms of on field success and his own development by coming here....is a legitimate point of discussion.

Nice when the yearning for home works in our favor and we have a cap excess problem most years....but Roger Tuivasa-Sheck isn't exactly going from a club where his prospects are limited to a somewhere more promising.

On big weekend last night, Johns and the rest of the panel said Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is a bargain, I concur with those thoughts, money well spent, he is probably worth an easy million now.

The Warriors play zero football on free to air, Channel 9 can't be happy about a superstar player, a genuine draw card, leaving Sydney where he will feature less on free to air.

Personally I think Gus Goulds only meant that seeing as we offered him $800K this time we would have to offer him $1 million next time. Maybe more. To get him to stay with league I see him getting more. Maybe around $1.2 million. Warriors and the NRL will have to get together a package to keep him in the code.

The pull of the black jersey will be a very strong one for Roger Tuivasa-Sheck. Same reason why the club will have to pay top dollar for Albert Vete if he goes onto to become a marquee prop...

All you need to know is he paid similar coin for a back rower and I'm sure soon enough their divine saviour and lord Matt Moylan will request similar or he will hit the market and get similar coin.
