Looks like Vaccine Passports will be a thing before next season, so events like this for Auckland which is heading to ninety percent vaccinated are probably going to be a goer.

The Warriors would be a good chance to host a game here and there under the new border changes.
just need to add the word - hopefully

Front row forwards never mellow:cigar:
bruce bruce You ought to be happy with today's news that both the Government and National are joining forces into changing the laws to be able to build new houses. Surely you have to be happy.

I know this isn't the Politics thread, there aren't no way I'm going in there. Just wanted to post this in here, or I should have posted it in the coronavirus thread instead. Ah well too late.

Probably the best place for this as the other NRL covid thread was more around last years shutdown. This is kind of like the default NRL covid thread seeing as anything related to the competition and covid affects the Warriors and where they are located.

I wouldn't be surprised if the vaccination rate is high as doing the more stringent protocols would wear thin after a while especially after the last few years where you could be back to normal.

Hopefully our guys all get on board as it will help with the international travel.

Noticed Aus has said it will not allow unvaccinated athletes entry into Australia (was in response to djokovic comments.)
If NZ had a similar rule would that potentially prevent teams coming here? Or would they adopt a similar rule to the American leagues where players forfeit payments and playing in states which they aren’t allowed in?
Also similarly if Warriors were based in NZ and had non vaxed players- would they be allowed entry into Aus?

You would expect if there is travel allowed the home team shouldn't be punished for any issues with the away teams vaccination rates. Goes both ways with the Warriors travelling to Australia as well. Affects them more so.

Seen talk about saying to get vaccinated so the Warriors can return home. The Warriors have done their part time for the other sides, time for the players to live up to that statement.

im guessing based on the Djokovic comments that they will not allow unvaccinated athletes from any sport into Aus. But god only knows if they will hold to this and for how long.

Don't the Warriors fly Air NZ?

No vax no fly. Simple....the Airline has pretty much determined the future of our side once the border opens.

Yesterday's announcement provided some light for the club but there's still a fair way to go yet. We still need to move to the new system, especially in Auckland. There is still a chance of regional lockdowns.

The club won't move back until they have gone over the playing group sorted out who is vaccinated who refuses and why.

Then sort out what issues they will have moving back.

NRL and NSW government are pushing ahead with refurbishing and developing smaller suburban grounds to cultivate tribalism.
MLS teams building stadia for 20-25000. Auckland needs one of these!
Maybe not downtown but definitely central. It would be an absolute ripper for The Warriors and if they shared the ground with Auckland Rugby and The Blues happy days of course on the provision they could break this prolonged route canal that is Eden Park Fox Memorial game of the round - interprovincial age grade events and tournaments, - all round ball codes. …. Such a shame it won’t happen anytime soon.🤦🏽‍♂️

I ask again, HTF did the All Blacks get to play in Washington DC...just asking like...very angrily.

What is it that makes you angry - care to elaborate?
How come Washington DC which has similar case loads to us, albeit decreasing, can get to see the All Blacks, without masks

Then the All Blacks go to Britain without MIQ...

and we cannot get to see the Warriors.

Just asking like.

Shite answers will be invited to close the door on the way out.
