He's making a success of himself this season so well done to him. Hope he doesn't google his name as he doesn't need to read the sewer of pathetic lazy comments against him to be honest.

Never understood the hate from some fans about this kid other than the fact that he reneged on his contract with us. Quite a few on here calling him over rated, spoilt etc. I will always remember with fondness his debut season with us. He was pretty much the only silver lining on what was another disappointing season for us.

Anyone who has one eye to watch him play could see Walsh was an absolute super star and will continue to be for many years to come. His performance last week was a masterclass in getting around your A defender and committing the outside B defender. He had a hand in just about every try the Broncos had. It really was a sublime match from him. Was much of the same this week in the final 10 minutes where they blew away the Dragons.

As for his cockiness, who cares? He's not a Kiwi so he doesn't know he has to be humble so the rest of us useless pricks dont feel so inferior. Classic NZer tall poppy syndrome. As Muhummed Ali said, "it's hard to humble, when you're as great as I am".

Agree with BlueSky that sadly for us, the Warriors we are better suited to a defensive minded fullback. To me thats more a sad indictment on our poor middle defence than on Walsh himself. Someone of his frame will always have issues stopping bigger players.

The other thing is he will always be able to improve on his defence and will over time just as Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck did. People forget we were all heavily critical of Roger Tuivasa-Sheck in 2017 for the exact same thing than in 2018 he become a rock wall out the back.

One thing you cant teach is what Walsh already has by the truckload. Pure pace, vision, step off both feet and determination. Hate me all you want but his attacking skillset is better than Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and our Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad will never have a half of it.

Personally I have always been a fan and will continue to enjoy watching him develop and putting on a show. Players like him are the exact reason I love this game. I honestly wish him all the best for his future and thank him for his time with us...

How different would it have been for him to join us this year with a good coach. If I was him I would have moved back too with the basket case we were

I can see both sides if I’m being honest. I think the frustrations come from him leaving early, when we know he could’ve strengthened our team. It’s a sour perspective. The reality is, he’s returned home (as he was always going to do), and is excelling (as he was always going to do).

I think we replaced him as best we can. We signed an international player in Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad (returning home, probably for a fair pay check), and signed a highly talented back up in Tuaupuki.

Put walsh in our current line up & he would’ve gone even better. He was playing in a side that had lost their identity and were fixated on 2023 and returning home. I also think the walsh we had wasn’t the fb we needed, and Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad brings a maturity & security to the backline. Walsh is a better player thank charnze, but not by a mile. Different strengths and weaknesses.

I’m happy for the kid, he seems happy. He’ll be under more scrutiny in Brisbane so he’ll need to adjust to that, but I can see him starting at fb this year for Queensland with pongas concussion issues & credit to him.

Reece is exactly where any dad should be, where his kid is.

Life happens, young kid fucked up, Warriors fans just need to get over it.

I can only imagine the shit I would’ve got into if I was as young, good looking, and famous as him.

I love watching the kid play. Genuine excitement that anything can happen any time he touches the ball.

Sometime last year i remember watching a video of his highlights on TikTok. Reading the comments it was insane the amount of girls throwing themselves at him. So i understand he fucked up.
From his Instagram he still seems like a great father. Most of his posts are of him and his daughter.

My issue is his being crowned the messiah already. Far too early for that. Massive red flags in last nights game. Out of position on multiple defensive plays, overplaying his hand, snapping at his own players.

Things are great while the team is firing, but without either Reynolds or Haas I think the Broncos fall apart.

He is being talked up, just as Latrel is / was and he clearly believes the hype. You can see it just from the game yesterday. The way he celebrated that first try and the excessive diving over the try line. He seems to think that he is some kind of gift to the NRL. Glad he left the Warriors

When Ravalava made that line break he did the usual air-grab which he needs to sort out as most established fullbacks would have made a better attempt.
