Isnt that pretty much the case every week tho?

The boys just didnt look like they wanted to stay in the fight after the first 20......Dragons started to get on an early roll through either a penalty or one of those big bodies getting them on the front foot,,,,,just couldnt stop them through the ruck after that.
When we were playing earlier this season SJ said during the wrestle stage of back and forth that if they keep up the pressure they would crack. And it worked. Sometimes you need to be patient in building pressure. We appeared to be the ones who buckled.

No excuses BUT 5 injuries to middle forwards is going to severely hamper any team.
Bit more perspective to go with some of our 1st-string players out.
Game 7 of a 27 game comp.
6-day turnaround, plus travel - after an 80min absolute grind.
Another 6-day turnaround, this one at home.
No bye till R13, heaven forbid they get to rest at some point. 2 more byes in the last half of the season, the last being the last round. Will any of them help, who knows?

They were definitely off and Dragons had done their homework - still, if we had been on the result may well have been different.
As for the bench, not a lot to choose from.
For those dissing Webby re timing, maybe putting those young players on for longer might have been the worst thing he could have done for them. Be interesting to see what his reasoning was - because there would have been one for sure.
Anyway, one to learn from but to have the whole team so off at once, oppo pressure aside, is an anomaly, not the norm imo so I'm moving on from it.

RTS is struggling to learn about centre.
How do you feel about him aiming up on the wing. Another challenge
Why waste what RTS has on the left wing? The ball doesn't go there.
Egan passes to SJ on the right or to a forward for a hit up. All we need on the left wing is a tacklebot who can catch a kick. And we've got one of those already. Most of the time

In order of shitness
1) TMM gets my award every time he finally got the ball he tried to score a try himself when he is not a great runner of the ball. Also gave away a stink penalty for lying all over the guy in the ruck when we had already given away two previous piggy back penalties and should have learned our lesson by then. For some reason he complained to the ref about it too when he was clearly guilty
Totally not fair on TMM.

You can't ridicule the bloke for going himself when he rarely got the ball. When he did get the ball there was no shape to the movement. He didnt get enough opportunities to even be shit.

RTS is struggling because they don't involve him enough. He's left to catch a cold on the left side, and the only touches he gets is from working out of his own end or getting the ball standing still. Webster needs to stop this dumb shit of only playing on one side of the field. It's killing RTS and it's the team.

How many times this year has RTS been given the ball at centre with forward momentum in a 1v1 with his opposite?

Totally understand. The left edge needs sorting.
Cht to 6 is the only thing I can think of.
Metcalf was getting a lot of flack when he had the 6 jersey but he was improving every game until he got injured.
Wish he was back 😪

We were off last week also. If the game wasn’t at MSS sure bet we would have been flogged.

I agree with everyone in that Webby is burning our top players by not fully utilising the bench and not distributing the work load enough on attack.

If the go to guys are always CNK and Tohu it becomes way too predicable and they lose their potency

The grind approach is physically and mentally tiring and we are clearly seeing this from the team now.

They looked exhausted last week and this week.

Something needs to change

No idea what or how.

3 weeks ago this team was 🔥

They are now burnt out…

oof all the ptsd returning - slow motion in a train-wreck from 15 in ... but even before that there were signs - just not burying them when we should've - very first set we ran for 70, got down there and then nothing

Missed tackles was the guts of the problem.
Coming off their line too easy.
And when they scored.
Berry Dwz Montoya tmm were all guilty

They could have saved the first 3 tries with better defence berry is standing on top of Johnson and can’t get more than a weak shot on big suli, Monty same not trusting Roger cant make the tackle count, charnze had time to wrap up the ball - falls off.

The aggressive line speed and gang tackling was nowhere to be found, dragons just wanted it more.

Johnson succeeded in being a one man attack last week you can’t do it every week mate, what’s berry going to do if he even catches those balls - just get smashed.

Don’t have to throw the toys out the pram just turn up with the right attitude and pick some better options

Best summation so far today 👌
Every round throws up one of these results.
Two last night.
It is the NRL. Very tough comp.
The right attitude is everything.
This time last week everyone was pretty okay with a 22 all draw.

10 missed tackles by the back 3….

He has to pop up on the edge and demand the ball. As the 6 his job is to set up the plays and his outsides.
Been very disappointing
