So....the Warriors' run against 4 of the 6 sides who made the semi-finals.

Cowboys - W, Rabbitohs - L, Raiders - L, Storm - L.

Pretty ugly reading when you put it like that. Signs of improvement? The team are looking considerably better in the first 40 (ie actually scoring points and drawing the last two games' 1st halves), the attack looks better, just needs cooler heads. No signs of going backwards that I can see - okay individual players aren't always firing but as a team they're better than a month or so ago. I think the club will win next week against the Titans and that might be that little spark they need to fire up. But the big question is can they spark enough from here to make the finals?

I'm at the point of agreeing with the idea that the worst thing that can happen to a club is getting to a Grand Final and losing it.

Eels fell off in 2010 after making the GF in 2009, Warriors did last year, Bulldogs are doing it this year...

I'll bite at this one haha.

I do think Mr Leuluai is our best current option at 6. Godinet is the only other option, but he is unproven as an NRL half. How did he go for Samoa?
I believe Godinet COULD prove to be a better option... but I cannot justify dropping Leuluai to find out.

Other options:
Siejka... rookie, NSW Cup form means dick.
Martel... fetch my rope if he gets picked at 6 in this current form.
Locke... Fish at fullback? Nah.

I'd like a halves switch. TL to play the controlling role and Johnson to play adlib and provide long kicking.
He was injured for the Samoa game so didn't play. I was looking forward to seeing him play 80mins at half. Other options you have said I agree with. Just wondering if when Godinet comes on whether he goes to 6 and TL to hooker. Definately don't think the team is far off, just some tweaks here and there. I also think we have played well against a few of the heavy weights of the competition and potentially could have beaten them. Roosters, Souths, Storm, we beat the Cowboys, shocking final 20mins against Raiders, extreme heat against the Sharkies (tipped to be top 4 by most) and a first up loss to the Eels. I think we are not far off and I also think we will put a few sides away if we contin ue to play in the same way as the last few games (errors aside!!!) Injuries and changing the Bluey hangover mindset our biggest issues. M.E has done everything required IMO, just need the players to respond for 80mins and consistantly week on week.

1 win in 15 games.
I promised myself I'd only attend the Wellington game if they won at least two games beforehand... we have one match left!
Titans could be mincemeat at home... here's hoping.

I haven't seen the Storm put under that much pressure for long periods of a game in a long time, I think we need to persist with the same personnel but slowly bring back Mannering, Neilsen, and eventually Manu to compliment what we already have and I think we have the makings of a top 8 team.

I know Ropo got burned on d many times and that was always likely considering his well documented injuries but experience will always be a vital factor for me, I'm a conservative type anyway, I'm all for youthful exuberance of Hurrell, Laumape and Tupou but you can't go past the likes of Ropati, Neilsen, Manu, Mannering etc, these guys are battle hardened experienced campaigners who are immense contributors for us.

That's really disappointing. I have the game sitting in MySky awaiting time to view it. I was really excited about Godinet getting a shot at running a full game.

I would be VERY interested to see the in-game switch you suggested, I actually reckon that's a mean idea. Would give us a chance to see Godinet in action at 6, without an unnecessary sub or dropping.

And yeah man we are a couple of fumbles and missed tackles off beating the best. Sadly, the rounds are ticking away and we are anchored in hell.[DOUBLEPOST=1366892737][/DOUBLEPOST]
from memory I think he is only on $100k or so. 1 year deal to see how he goes.

If that's the case then we should definitely keep him on. Still the 3rd or 4th best centre at the club, even based on tonight.

At least our games are getting entertaining and depressing instead of last year where we just got the latter. Though I suppose the fact that it is entertaining only adds to the disappointment when we inevitably find a way to lose...

Force of habbit. I'm too tired, dammit!:grumpy:

Can you edit the poll to make him Benry, Hitman? Or shall we just pretend he is Benry...

Pretty sure he qualifies for the 10 yearlong term player exemption as well. They can pay 100k over the cap to retain these players.

Wiki:
Ropati recently signed a one-year contract with his current club the New Zealand warriors until the end of 2013, which will see him become the second longest serving player of the club with eleven seasons.

Defence

Defence

3 Shaun Johnson
2 lowrie- thought he made some important tackles.
1 Sam rapira- good captains knock- would've liked to see him play more minutes.

Locke was great in the first half and poor in the second. Couple of guys had shockers but thought most of them played well
