Thing is it wasnt really the Tigers "swarming" defence that nullified Johnson. They just held a flat line. Shaun Johnson ( like Benji) sidles across field waiting for someone to rush out. Once he gets a staggered line in front of him thats when he'll carve up. Sheens knows this, so they just put a wall up, showed patience and just held the line. Ironically it's this "rushing out of the line" (particulary by our centres and wingers) that has been the nemesis of our defence all season. Although this game our line speed wasnt great either.
As far as Shaun Johnson is concerned, i think we've been guilty of late of just throwing him the ball, with no players in motion, decoys, support in or out, and expecting him to miraculously break the line. For all his freakish talent, we'll improve the odds a lot more by creating some doubt in that defensive line first. eg the Moltzen try from the scrum where a couple of players on the unders held up Maloney just enough to create some space.
