yea just read the match report. i expect Lewis to line up 4 NSW but the others are in a bit of trouble.

id have Tariq Sims backing up Lewis

Josh Morris backing up Jennings

NSW dont have a another utility tho to cover Gidley. Maybe Hayne off the bench then

need some bigger forwards to combat qlds monster pack. its been reported thats why bennett got mason at the knights, he knows size matters. gallen, stewart, bird, watmough and even mannah arent big guys compared to qld forward pack

farrahs had his chance, i was a big supporter but he is too inconsistent. id stick with ennis.

glad gidley is out, unlucky for him but there are better players in the positions he covers. imo he was kept on last year because he was vice captain.

Yeah good teams but agree with most of the above- gotta find room for hayne- anywhere in the backline- doesn't matter. Turiq Simms is a wrecking ball- if they don't pick him they deserve to lose and I'd have weyman there too.

Yea, it was good the first year round but I keep getting visions of last season where the two just didn't combine well, at all. For mine Carney needs a steady head and Wallace will provide that. Pearce game is just too up and down for my liking.

Queensland pretty much business as usual, same consistency in selection , probably the only debateable issue will be who takes Yow Yeh's position out of Tate/Willie Tonga,Dane Nielsen or maybe Dale Copley..

NSW I've gone for Hinchcliffe on the bench in place of Gidley, I think Hinchcliffe's an Origin type player, mistake free, creative & a strong defender. Being under the constant demand of excellence & presence of Cam Smith he would have intimate knowledge of The Storm's (big 3) set piece moves & when their likely to utilise them during games.

I know one thing based on the record series losses NSW have suffered. They can't bash their way past Qld. And if they don't try something different, like selecting someone with flair in the forwards. Another series loss it will be. Mateo would be my pick, as i believe in the company of great players he'll shine.

personally i think the exact opposite. nsw has always played smaller , more mobile forwards and are continually physically dominated in the forward packs.

Where do you think Greg Bird and Paul Gallen got their nick name "The Bruise brothers" from? Just because they havn't been successful doesn't mean they havn't tried. Its well known, the tactics, i mean. Why do you think Mateo got a City start? They're seriously considering changes their tactics. As they should after 6 record series defeats.
