Its interesting that some of the Godinet love was lost after the match against the Titans...

I don't think it got lost, just took a hiatus while people calmed down and realized he isn't infallible. When he comes on this weekend and sparks the team up again, all will be forgiven. It is also somewhat to do with the performance of our halves and the team in general. Apart from Ropo, there weren't a lot of passengers in the team this week, for once. Just panic near the end.

Typical of Godinets career here.

Slow to get an article confirming his release at this end.

He'll have to give his Long Kicking game a lot of work , they're used to good kickers up there.

Sounds Like Pita is on a guaranty for a start at half role , that will see him crack it I'm sure. Wish we had live ESL coverage here.

It was on last year?

ESL coverage ?

I followed most of it, Maori TV's delayed games is the only package I'm aware of unless you watch live stream. The main problems with the Maori coverage are :

The Sky guide is often wrong ( I wanted to follow Wigan / Tomkins......a couple of times they advertised other teams when It was Wigan ....so ended up just trying to tape the lot ).
I don't know how they pick that one game a week , whether it's meant to be the match of the round ( doubt it there are only four really good teams ).

Still better than nothing.

Flip side is Premier sports are selling the NRL , SOO and the Auckland nines live over there.

Yeah, I watched a few games on Maori TV.

Does anyone have the rights for the 2014 season, as it starts in a month or so?

Maori TV still have the Superleague ' exclusive ' NZ coverage this year on their website , Live and delayed games.

Use to watch quite a bit of ESL on SKY but Maori TVs coverage of it pretty much killed it for me. I'll read the score on news feeds before I watch it. Spoiler alert killer...

Pita's first game highlights. He's in the white Number Seven Jumper and has gone back to wearing head gear.

Wakefield cop an 18 nil hidding by half time till Pita sparks a mini revival

The Video is an impressive production by the opposition the Salford Devils who have their own Owen Glen taking them places this year.

Found the video to be way too slow paced for my liking. That intro was painful to get through.

Anyway, back on topic, hope Godinet goes well over there. Positive start even if they didn't get the win.

The Video is a bit tacky but it signals the money and promotion Dr Koukash is putting into pet project Salford.
A lot are praising the efforts of Koukash and see him as a breath of fresh air to their ailing game.

Pita gets a few positive mentions in the Wakefield forums , seems as he did here , he is gaining some fans from day one.

He was pretty poor last week when we beat Wakefield.

They'll be lucky to stay up.

Just bumping to merge two Godinet threads to add to his player profile. As a result the original poll had to be deleted. Here were the results...

170. PITA GODINET
Last update

Pita Godinet was playing in the Super League for the Wakefield Wildcats during our last update. He bounced around a bit since then. Godinet came back to the NRL via the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles in 2016 then the Wests Tigers in 2018. Then in 2019 he moved to France to play for Villeneuve XIII RLLG Leopards in the Elite 1 Chamnpionship for 3 years before heading to the United States of America in 2021 to play for the Atlanta Rhinos in the North America Rugby League (NARL).

His next club brings us to Godinets latest update. He signed to play for the Cessnock Goana's.

He also gained his truck licence in Australia just this August so I'm guessing he's about to retire and move onto his next phase...
