Does cappy have the spine to make the call though? if all he does this week is drop Maumalo, then its a cop out. Last week he made Hurrell the scapegoat and this week Maumalo, when in both games Townsend was the chief offender. You cant keep defending for 50-60mins and have 0 on the scoreboard. At some point defence will give up. we need to put some points on the board even if we are leaking some.

Would you want to come back if you were Konrad Hurrell? Scapegoat again if we lose.

Speaking to Reserve Graders they say the reason for the big fluctuations on performance in that team is because you have so many players coming and going which makes it hard to get combinations going. Surely that translates to 1st Grade?

TBH I wont be surprised to see a team selection that has us baffled and thinking WTF! Strange man at times that Cappy...

I would even go as far as granting an early release. I see absolutely no positives in continuing with him.

thats the thing I cant work out....why is he chopping and changing to this extent. Why is he making it difficult for himself and the team.

Manu/Kata/RFM/Chad....This edge has played a few games together until shauns injury. Why not let them continue to gel
Lolohead has played right centre...it wouldnt have been so diff for him to play one position inside....why move him all the way to the other edge
Why move Ben to the right edge where hes never played before
Simon was the glue in the middle, why move him
Konrad came back from injury and he played on the wrong side and put up decent figures why drop him

So frustrating....what hes doing...

Would legitimately rather see something totally bizarre like Friend to 7, Kata to 9. It would almost be impossible for them to do worse than Townsend.

I don't reckon Cappy has taken enough of a hit to his popularity yet for the players to pull finger and play properly... I'm expecting another horrid defeat this weekend to really destroy Cappy once and for all...

Rock bottom here we come...

I'd like to see a radical approach considering there's not much to play for..

Gutting to see this team not score any points in 80 minutes in recent games so I'm going all out attack approach.. can't defend anyway so might as well try and outscore the other team, as ludicrous as it sounds.

1.Fisiiahi
2.Wright 3.Hurrell
4.Allwood 5.Maumalo
6.Tomkins 7.Lolohea - come on McFudgecake I dare ya!

8.Rapira 9.Havili 10.Lillyman - Rapira & Lillyman to handle the early exchanges, Vete & Gubb as impact
11.Mannering 12.Faitala-Mariner 13.Lisone - Mad ball carries, staunch defender, ball skills.. 13 might suit him.

14.Gubb 15.Vete 16.Peyroux 17.Kata - hooker and outside back/centres cover

Townsend, Ikahihifo and Friend dropped while Mutts has lost the plot.

That spine would be a great start to righting our attack, but with so few games left will it matter.

Nah it won't matter so we might as well go radical.

Almost seems like our players are being over coached, not enough clarity and basics.. it's like their actual footballing ability is being coached out of them and they have to stick to structure and pattern which clearly some of them hate and don't cope with at all.

Throw the structure out the window and let them go jungle ball style..

Panthers are just as shit as us.

Give Hingano/Lino a go at 6 with Tomkins at half.
Remember Tomkins playing at 7 against us with England.

Bhana to make his debut.
Upu Poaching to get a long awaited recall.

With nothing to lose, why not try an all out team with a bit of experiment and trial.

There was further bad news for the Warriors on Monday when the club announced that they are likely to be without experienced winger Manu Vatuvei for Saturday's win or bust game against the Panthers. Vatuvei injured his right shoulder again in the 60th minute of the Warriors' embarrassing loss to the Dragons.

The 29-year-old initially hurt his shoulder in the game against the Raiders on June 27 and was forced to sit out the next three games because of it. No definitive decision has been made on Vatuvei yet, but the club say he's unlikely to play.

If he's out, it's likely Glen Fisiiahi will come back onto the wing. He played there against the Sea Eagles in round 20 but was dropped after the game.

The other option would be to use David Fusitua on the wing, but that is depending on whether he is fully over his knee injury. He's listed to make his return to footy either this weekend or in the following game against the Cowboys at Mt Smart Stadium.

Fusitu'a is one of three players who could return to action against the Panthers, with Bodene Thompson recovering from an ankle injury and Ryan Hoffman getting over a calf problem picked up in the State of Origin decider.

I’d like to see the "everyone who is definitely or is rumoured to be leaving the club XIII"

Have Iro coach them, and Cappy and the ones who will be here next year can go on a team building retreat, sort their lives out.

1. Abbey
2. Fish
3. Peyroux
4. Hurrell
5. Allwood
6. Townsend
7. Tomkins
8. Rapira
9. Friend
10. Ikahihifo
11. Lousi
12. Bhana
13. Havilli

Then the bench can be 4 U20 or NSW cup kiddies who aren’t being kept.

Lets face it, that side could have probably managed 36-0 nil just as well.

A couple of players aside, they could swap last week's (alleged) first grade team for the NSWarriors team and I wouldn't be too upset.

I see they have that budding cellist on the wing again. Watch for the entire team sliding right if the Panthers players even breath in that direction. Townsend's back to give the side a much needed reminder of why they miss Shaun Johnson. Konrad could spend his entire time on the field doing cartwheels and he still wouldnt be the one making a mockery of this game.

Good to see Hoffman back (not sure about Peyroux but guess right now that stocks are very limited) but have come to the realisation that Townsend is really McCrappys long lost son.
