Warriors practice was delayed nearly two hours today after a player reported finding an unknown white powdery substance on the practice field.

Coach Cappy McFadden immediately suspended practice while police were called to investigate.

After a complete analysis, forensic experts determined that the white substance unknown to the players was the try line.

Practice was resumed after authorities decided the team was unlikely to encounter the substance again.

Warriors name 84 year old man to take on Panthers



Warriors coach Andrew McFadden today named 84 year old Bob Daweasel to make his long anticipated NRL first grade debut. Coach McFadden says that the unfortunate rectal injury Chad Townsend sustained in the changing sheds after the close loss to the Dragons has meant Daweasel finally has his opportunity to make the #6 jersey his own for the remainder of the 2015 season.McFadden said that Daweasel has been training the house down the past 65 years and the communication and speed he brings will serve the Warriors well in an area that they had been lacking this year. When journalists questioned Daweasels age McFadden said if was not an issue as the Warriors had previous success in 2009 when club legend Stacey Jones made a spectacular comeback to help the club reach 14th place on the NRL table.

McFadden also confirmed that the club were seeking input from mobility scooter manufacturers in an attempt to get injured #7 Shaun Johnson back in action for the last 4 games of the year. McFadden said the club had looked at the rules and there was no specific clause that prevented a player using a scooter on the field.

I know that I am risking sounding a touch negative, and perhaps even a wee bit defeatist, but I really don't give a shit who they put on the field. I haven't missed watching a game all season so I will probably watch it but unless there is a major clean out and more psychological and basic skill work done on the squad by the weekend than could be usually achieved in a lifetime I can see us making a late run at the wooden spoon

I don't think we have much choice to be honest - Johnson, TL, Hoffman, Thomson and Manu are all probably out, Hurrell is in the naughty corner and fucking Townsend never seems to get injured!

Why do we have the only serious team name in the NRL comp.

Roosters, Panthers, Broncos, Eels, Cowboys, Storm, Rabitos (what the fuck is that animal again?), Sharks, Dragons, Tigers, Titans, Sea Eagles, Bulldogs, Raiders... Or some of the old names, Magpies, Steelers,,, classic footy club names...

They all have comedy connotations. Imagine after a tough won match and everyone saying "We can be proud cause we played like fucken Rabitos today"... "We were a bunch of bucking broncos out there."

Warriors is only funny when we play like a bunch of old grannies... Seriously who comes up with this shit...

This season's over, we all need to face it. Will I continue watching every game for the rest of the season? Yes.

We need to face the reality that Lolohea is deadweight in the halves. He barely kicks and when he DOES get the ball at critical times, he tries to step in and break the line with 0 luck.

Tomkins has been one of our better guys, but he still doesn't offer what we need at fullback. He slips over a lot, has barely any physical power, and more than not finds himself incorrectly positioned. We should move him to 6 because he's practically playing there anyway, so why not shift him there and bring Fish in. It would make 0 impact, it's not like Tomkins offers anything in kick returns anyway.

I've been in two minds about Maumalo, but Coach was right, he should have scored that try in the corner. Fusitua normally jumps from the 10m line and still puts those down. I actually prefer Lolohea on the wing, he's had his best games there.

I feel sorry for Havili. Coach ALWAYS throws him in when we're down 20+ points and if he doesn't tie the game up in his 10 minute stint, he's off! Lol - no idea what the thought process behind that is. If Friend needs a break, have Hurrell come off the bench and slip Kata into hooker. At least add value, or have havili come on in the 25 min mark until the 55th like most coaches do.

Lastly, Chad is terrible, but guess what guys, we have no one to replace him with. Please don't humor me and say Tomkins/Lolohea combination would get us points or stability, and in no way would I want to see Mason Lino step up. We don't have halves depth.

I truly hope our first choice 6 next year is Leuluai. Solid defender, very experienced, and won't have anywhere near as much pressure on him with the addition of Johnson, Luke and Sheck.

Lolohea to me poises as a potential Centre option. I don't see Kata and Hurrell being set in stone next year.
