We need to get back to what works for us. What's always worked for us.

High completion rates, big hitting defence, and freestyle attack only when we've earned it...

We're never going to beat manly at their game, but yet we keep trying.:banghead: that's the biggest problem we face as a club right now.

To win games the attack has to be unpredictable. Our structures are very predictable at the moment. A new halves combination means any structure we pull out is going to be child's play for the sharks defence.

Keep working the hitups with support runners until the defence makes an error and then let the ball sing...

Spend 70% of training on defence and 30% on individual ball skills... That's all..

Do that and we can beat anyone...

Its time for our coaching staff to get their egos out of the frame IMO and get back to coaching the warriors the way we should be coached...

Stay humble, keep it simple, play hard and dazzel the crowd... Warriors style...:) that's why I follow the warriors...

Don't really know what the starting side will look like due to injuries but please no Lousi, Havili or Rapira. Compared with other teams they easily make the least impact when our starting guns come off.

Get creative with it, tomkins has the best kicking game, so he's one half, Lolohea needs the experience so he's the other. Fish gets a chance at fullback by default, not cos he deserves it.

Bring in Manu, Hurrell and Maomalo, that's a lot of meterage. And a few errors, but at least the team gets its hard to tackle identity back.

Chad can come off the bench, rapira out for Lisone and I don't know what you do with a replacement for Lousi, Ikahihifo is about the only one left.

Bit torn on the halves. On one hand we've all been waiting for Tui to get a shot and here it is but on the other hand a Tui/ chad combo looks a bit nill and it's hard to see where our points are would come from with chad as the dominant playmaker.
I'm leaning towards tomkins in the halves and fish at the back- at least we'd have some points in us.

A thought just crossed my mind- what if tomkins did more to the halves- carved up and lead us to the finals?
That would be the kind of send off the guy deserves.

That team is still good enough to win enough games to make the finals - not going to do anything when we get there, but at least we can call getting there a moderately successful season, after the last few years...

Agree totally.Tomkins is a $750k player. With his experience in the position he should be able to handle it.Fish has always shown his best at fullback.Lolohea gets his chance starting next week.Grunt comes back with Manu,Koni and Maumalo.Leadership from Hoffman. If we have a professional outlook they should see this as a challenge. We are still in the eight and as Cappy says this is an "opportunity".
Question is "are we professional enough?" unfortunately I fear the answer is "definitely not".

Also Lino and Warriors NSW cup stand-off well worth a look. Sorry Stacey we are desperate.
Soon, very soon most departing players need not apply

First post although I been lurking here for some 18 months. Have worked in PNG for the past 30 years and since league is the national game here have followed it since I arrived. Have followed the Warriors since they entered the Comp. Reason I haven't posted before is I don't have a league playing background. So others will make more qualified contributions. But seems to me the basic problem to fix is the lack of organisational leadership on field. Especially shown up yesterday. Even when we had the ball it was all one-out stuff. Mannering who should be the first chosen was as guilty of this as anyone yesterday. Only solution is to move Tomkins closer to the action at No6. Not original but obvious. Won't solve everything but worth a try.

Assuming Vatuvei, Hoffman, Gubb are all fit and Thomson is not.

1.Lolohea (Swaps with ST, defends in the front line)
2.Fisiiahi
3.Kata
4.Hurrell
5.Vatuvei
6.Tomkins (Swaps with Tui, defends at FB)
7.Townsend
8.Matulino
9.Friend

11.Faitala-Mariner
12.Hoffman
13.Mannering

14.Gubb
