Johnson looked injured (?), i would rather rest him now and have him right for the finals if he is not 100%. Tompkins to 6, Lolo to FB.
Fusitua will be injured/pulled/suspended, take your pick. Hopefully Hurrell is due back.
We need Manu to make the meters he makes getting us out of trouble, straight back in if fit. Wright has been going well and would be loathe to drop him but again his pace in attack is a worry. Maybe into the centres to mark up on Lyon who is a wiley old bugger.
Either way its a undesired reshuffle.
Like most I think the bench needs beefing up. Lisone and/or Gubb due back?

I would be ok if cappy wanted to give Fusitua another crack but he looked disjointed against superior opposition, so for mine Hurrell gets the nod, Kata keeps his spot and Manu comes in for Wright.
Bull of the bench for experience and the Gubbster in for Rapira and his tackling ability...

Tomkins
Lolohea
Hurrell
Kata
Manu
Chad
Shaun Johnson
Vete
Friend
Matulino
Thompson
Hoffman
Mannering

Gubb
Bull
Lisone

time for cappy to learn how to use the bench.

Fusitua only played 52 mins. Did he go off injured or hooked?
Looked like he got hooked to me, they put Faitala-Mariner out there at centre who had already been through a load of work and made him defend Jennings in open space for the last half an hour. I actually thought he did a good job, but he was absolutely rooted.

Anyone else think David Fusitua is a little like Konrad Hurrell when they have sandy vaginas? I sometimes feel like Konnie needs to harden up at times. Lacks fortitude...
Yea, I reckon you are right. They also seem to get hurt when they make a mistake. If Konrad Hurrell knocks the ball on, which him limp back and then hunch over and hold his shorts. Even if you are hurt or tired, you shouldn't show it. A casual hand up to the trainer if absolutely necessary otherwise deal with it at full time.

Fusitua won't be in first grade again this year, he is not ready for the step up. He has a lot of work to do especially defensively. Too much arm grabs and out of position .

DCE injured in tonights match with the Cowboys. Would be in major doubt against us next week.

Twitter feeds saying shoulder injury, Joey johns saying its a pec injury. Pec injury would fuck them completely.

i think we need to find a place in the team for Maumalo. It has been ages since i have seen someone run as hard as him. Hes pretty handy at catching balls as well. I reckon Manly would struggle to tackle him.

A lot word going around that the pec is torn which would see him out for the season...

Fusitua went off injured. He had some form of knee injury. He tried running it out, and the Roosters actually made one of their breaks (may have been the Maloney forward pass try) where he basically couldn't keep up.

This 100%....it was very obvious...and the forward pass with the ref waving play on!!!!

What's the bet Mateo will play the game of his life just to fuck with us? He's gonna score a hattrick and kick 3 field goals just to spite us

You can't drop Kata.. He has been our best centre all year, and got owned by probably the biggest and fastest centre in the game. Needs more one on one tackling practice.

Rapira is a shadow of his former self.. Looks like a small back rower these days, I think the size increase of the forwards and injuries has taken away his old punch. But we need experience on the bench, someone who will make tackles and do what is required.
Next time we play the Roosters we need someone to find Fergusan the day before and leave a Tequila bottle and some redbull outside his hotel door. Odds on he doesnt play the next day and cops a good 6 week or season suspension for whatever he did. Kata will be better for the schooling. Make him train harder. This week he eill get a double Im predicting

Or he will just be Mateo and run for 50 metres, try some stupid passes, look disinterested and demotivate the side. I hope its the latter.

Vodafone Warriors wing Manu Vatuvei is set to remain on the club’s injured list for another two weeks.

It was originally hoped he would be available again for this Saturday’s clash against Manly at Mount Smart Stadium but he is now being targeted for a return for the round 22 encounter with the St George Illawarra Dragons in Wellington on Saturday, August 8.

Second rower Ryan Hoffman remains on track for Saturday week’s encounter with Cronulla at Mount Smart Stadium

Bring on The Fish.

Seriously, I need to see him score another run away try in 1st grade before he gets injured again.

I think Fusitua got pulled because he injured his knee. Was limping pretty bad.

He's starting to show a track record for getting injured isn't he.... alot of people writing him off, but the only way he's going to learn is if he's out there on the pitch. There were alot of man-gasms last week regarding Fusitua's form, all of sudden Hurrell is the fan favourite to slot back in.

I'm all for Koni playing this weekend, but I want him to show urgency to better his footy skills. Charging runs and bumping people off can only take you so far... There's still a glimmer of hope he can become the next big thing he was touted to become. But times running thin.
