Well neither of those scenarios bode well for him next week. Konrad back to centre it is.
If what players say about Cappy is true in terms of his selections than he has to drop David Fusitua for Konrad Hurrell.

Have to remember too that Konrad Hurrell may be suspended as well for leading in with the elbow during the NSW Cup game so we may see Fusitua back or both gone. Next best in line would be Ken Maumalo...

All in all no great dramas with today, with six first choice players out, significant youth or inexperience in the team playing away against a full strength, first class premiership favourite - I could be more upset with today.

Given what the Souths smashing did for us I'm still optimistic about the finals.

Still have us finishing sixth though......!

Thought about throwing him in the deep end myself. With Siliva Havili going to the Dragons and Nathan Friend all but gone it might not be a bad idea to give him a taste. Same age as Jackson Hastings who subbed Jake Friend today for the Roorters. Why continue developing Siliva? Roache is obviously the future and may even get a start if Issac Luke goes down...

Kata has benifited big time having Hoffman and Manu on that edge...

I'm happy to keep him in there next weekend when our left edge comes back to full strength...

Do you think Johnson needs a rest and put a half on the bench, with an extra hooker is a real waste to me, Lolohea could come on fresh and give Johnson a breather, if it doesn't work it doesn't work but at least give it a shot, as I mentioned an extra hooker doesn't really do much for our squad

Seems like a really good kid too - humble, intelligent and a great head on his shoulders...

I don't know how physically ready for FG he is (though, by all accounts he was absolutely killing it in preseason - and has been playing well in NSW) but mentally, I think he would be better prepared for the step up than most.

Kata got pWnEd big time but thought he also made some good 1-on-1 tackles on Furgursson later on.

Definitely a different mental make up on the kid than Hurrell/Fusitua.

Exactly.

In addition, I've seen some real heads up options taken by Roache on the fly which has me thinking he may be another solid, thinking mans hooker and we know how that ended up for Melbourne.

With Luke coming, I'm excited about how Roache will develop over time.

I can see Cappy leaving Havilli there for the bigger body size and option to cover second row and lock.

I'd still give him a crack now though.

Based on what Cappy is trying to build, I can see why most expect Koni to come straight back in for Fusitua. Not only did Fusitua have an off game, but was pulled due to injury so might no be available anyway.

I've seen Hurrell retained despite shit performances before. I'd give Fusitua another chance - not being quick to forget how good he and Lolohea looked against the Storm just one week ago (how long ago does that seem now).

I agree with the consensus - carrying Havili on the bench is deadweight. Need all forwards on the bench that can provide impact. RFM/Lisone can cover back-row to spell Mannering and Thompson if need be (I'm sure yesterdays game was the first time I've seen Thompson pulled off early, hope he isn't injured) or cover Hoffy just in case his calf pulls up lame. Rapira and Vete to come on and throw their bodies on the line. Manly have a lackluster pack, so smashing them up the middle is what we need to do.

My team is out of the blue but I rkn it has solid defense and attack as well as youth and experience. Also dunno why johnno wright doesn't get picked when he outplays half the young boys and plus he can feed the beast, cover the beast and really tighten up the left side defense.

Kata and Fusitua to keep developing and called upon when injuries occur. Havili is useless and shouldn't even play nsw cup and just develop roache.

Time to scrape all the shit of our bench, Havilli gone, hasn't done enough, lousi, well, is lousy, fucking useless sick of him constantly walking into hit ups, raps did well but underdone, time to bring in firepower gubb back, need a big bench IMO, our forwards got destroyed against the roosters, this is the best team we can field atm

Fusitua went off injured. He had some form of knee injury. He tried running it out, and the Roosters actually made one of their breaks (may have been the Maloney forward pass try) where he basically couldn't keep up.

You can't drop Kata.. He has been our best centre all year, and got owned by probably the biggest and fastest centre in the game. Needs more one on one tackling practice.

Rapira is a shadow of his former self.. Looks like a small back rower these days, I think the size increase of the forwards and injuries has taken away his old punch. But we need experience on the bench, someone who will make tackles and do what is required.

Put Wright in at centre as Fusitua needs to play NSW and thought his experience may count and couldn't think of anyone else good enough. Manly are gonna be a tough ask this week. Hopefully we bounce bank and smash them and Mateo at the same time..................................
