The stuff article I posted on the post game thread said Bunty was close to 100m but this doesn’t say the same and 11 players made 100+m according to this. Still making at least 10m per carry so adding value but hard to say why his minutes are limited?

I actually think Barnett will play and it was all precautionary. Egan was a classic grade 1 KO so will be out. I hope like he'll we get Dallin Watene-Zelezniak back to speed up this backline

Yeah, I've seen from a few different stats that Bunty ran for 37 meters in 17 minutes. I was at work so wasn't listening to the commentary for most of the game, was there something obvious or injury related for that?

Didn’t see anything to suggest there was an injury but Jazz and Ale playing more minutes suggests there was a mobility they were trying to achieve, probably to shift the big cowboys forwards around in the heat. Watching the eels struggling, it looks like the bigger packs are being shown up with the speed of the game.

Curran's hip injury looked pretty bad so I wouldn't rush him back unless they have to. Sironen can do a job off the bench.

Jazz and Ale playing more minutes suggests there was a mobility they were trying to achieve, probably to shift the big cowboys forwards around in the heat.

The joy of so many long minute players.

We said before the season it would be tough to fit everyone’s minutes in.

With Walker and Jazz plus Addin Fonua-Blake, Egan and Barnett all able to play big minutes we have the luxury of picking and choosing who we play and for how long.

Once Curren and Ford are back it’s even harder to give everyone enough minutes.

I think TT showed it’s good for the squad to just play the backups when they are needed and don’t shuffle players around unnecessarily.

Same team with Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad in for TT, Lussick in for Egan, Curran in Sironen and Ford in for Barnett. Looks like Barnett is okay but he plays very physical and will need a week off now and again, Ford earned another go, I don’t like when they wheel out half crocked and underdone players, it’s a long season, use your squad.

Would keep Vailea he didn’t do anything wrong, can drop him when he eventually does

Same as Jazz then....run for long minutes in the Reggies.

There was a fan culture around here and previous Warriors forums where NSW cup use was seen as punishment or some kind of value judgement about a players worth.

Glad to see us using NSW cup for what it is there for, to condition players and no egos.

If your culture is right a player like Shaun Johnson does time in Reggies after a long lay off and no one bats and eye at it. Looks like we are learning to respect the function of having a reserve grade side.

I used the example of Johnson never playing Reggies to underline what is wrong with the clubs culture in bold.
