Can't happen unless we give him our last remaining spot in the Top 30 which would be a huge suprise considering that Moala Graham-Taufa was preferred ahead of him in NSW Cup for Round 1 of that comp
Good to know. In that case I don’t think we need to use up our remaining spot on a winger then. I rate Moala, I do hope he gets some more games

Interesting that Ale seems to only be trusted with very small minutes, even when injuries struck. He played a long stint in the first trial which didn’t seem to blunt his effectiveness (I know the speed of the game is much slower). I would imagine at full strength Jazz would replace him on the bench

For the 2nd week in a row your Warriors will come up against a team coming off a loss and will be at home.

Team changes if any, have been determined by HIA protocols. The less changes the better need time for combos to develop properly..
Ever since they invented HIAs it seems every idiot has forgotten how to tackle safely, it's carnage out there.

Look at the lonely Knights. Going to lose their origin specialist Ponga, Frizell, J.Saf, Brailey, Mann maybe Jack Johns...

Our squad is also just who is left standing. Better than the Boys, they're missing Drinky, Uncle Pet etc.

So we're a real chance.

From what I can see we get 3 byes during the season each worth 2 points, so that's 6 points Each team gets those byes as well, so we need to use those points with our wins to stay ahead of the bottom dwellers, and pick up wins as much as we can when playing them. That's how we will get ahead and stay away from the spoon.
That's the webolution? Avoiding the spoon? I had hoped for so much more Dave.

More I think about this the more I'd like to see Tauapiki out the back if Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad is out - he'll get metres through his evasiveness, and his positioning is first class - can only assume he knows how to count numbers and organise a defence too as has good experience in cup doing that for burleigh so..

centres - idk tho...

and if the injuries are rife I'd want to see Sifakula come in too

1. Tauapiki
2. kosi
3. ?
4 ?
5. Montoya
6. Te Maire Martin
7. Shaun Johnson
8. AFB
9 Egan
10 Harris
11. Barnett
12 Niukore
13. Jazz

14. Walker
15. Bunty
16. Ale
17. Sifakula

1) Maybe in Taine comes in and shines it will give us options at fullback.
2) After watching him play in two game Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad would be awful at centre. He is a handy little fullback and an NRL standard one, but he can't distribute to save his life. He would be our last option at centre behind Rocco Berry even. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad couldn't pass his way out of a wet paper bag.
3) If this is year one of a two year journey to be competitive then where is our 2024 big signing. Or are we waiting for the 2023 team to get some runs on the board so that a quality player will actually come here. And if so that is smart thinking.
Secondly if this is year one of a two year plan then our first two games went perfectly. We are 1-1 to start the season. We were right in the second game and competitive.
4) After two games it looks like we are a third tier team. The teams are shaping up like this

Tier One
Panthers
Sharks
Souths
Rooster

Tier Two
Broncos
Dolphins (yes really)
Eels
Manly
Cows

Tier 3
Storm
Warriros
Knights
St George

Tier 4
Raiders
Dogs

Tier 5
Titans
Tigers

Not like the draw was just put out last week, was just making a point that we went to lengths to address our poor Perth record by going early a few years ago. With Townsville also largely an unhappy hunting ground for us I think there was a good opportunity to do the same.
I assume a decent number of players have families and kids they would like to come back to.

Jazz for Ford if out orAle if not.

Not getting enough minutes yet for Ale, but that's not his fault.

For trainspotters at home
Luke Metcalf imjury status has changed from TBC to indefinite

Basically means the same as TBC. An undefined length of time. They've always said it was more than minor, and hinted at a couple months rather than weeks. I've had in my head round 5-10 sort of period?

I don't know what they have planned for him, but can't see him getting into the current line up unless Chanze gets moved to centre. Te Maire Martin isn't a flashy attacking 6, but I think he's a key leader in the side already and can't see him moving. I have faith the attack will start to gel if the injuries keep away.

I'm expecting the same side named, with Taine on stand by and Sironen on the bench for Curren.
