This is a club culture thing too ain't it?
You don't drop the boys who got you a rare 3 win sequence if you want a winning culture in your organization.
The only changes should be veterans who are out through injury becoming available....and even then...only if those Vets have been maintaining a high standard in rehab in terms of their attitude and desire to play.
That type of off feild professional is what you get with Dallin Watene-Zelezniak, Harris, and Tevanga. They all have reputations of training very hard, and being out and out tough men that play through pain. The Warriors used to be short of these guys, now they got 3 on standbye, things look good.
Montoya Is a tough guy, he's a workaholic lunatic, but he will get banned, so hopefully Dallin Watene-Zelezniak is fit and can swap sides to allow Ed Kosi two settled games in the same spot...to help Kosi with the defence.
Arthur's and Pompey are both tough guys....really this is the first time in the clubs history that a coach has played tough defenders in every edge position.....and look at the results....throw in Chanel Harris-Tavita and Shaun Johnson and you have the best Warriors defensive backline ever.
Walsh is the weak point, but he has improved immensely in the 1:1's and who knows where is ceiling is.
I'm not a fan of moving away from our tradesmen defensive backline.
It is a deliberate ploy, a outsiders strategy, to change two decades of the Warriors inability to become a top four team, one that can play in 12 point games....because every single Warriors team ever...leaks on its edge.
This is why the Warriors have been trapped in this chase mode, you score we score, we are still stuck in it, our packs starting too slow.
We are approaching a new Era. On the cusp of a different style of league. Tacklebot backs and tacklebot forwards.
We just need Harris and Tevanga and these slow starts will begin to be solved, the middle ground will firm, making those backs lives a lot easier.
Those three small Aussie backrowers have a simple job, keep up with the pace of the game when the Refs got a hard on.
Not a role I would cast Katoa into in a hurry.
Plus Arthur's is hitting that Shaun Johnson channel at the line with speed, we don't need someone bigger and slower that can't pass...when really everyone in the world knows that move.
All these machinations...excuse the rant...are undone if you go back to giving attacking players second and third and tenth chances...hell we been down that road under every coach.
It is interesting to see what Brownie will do when Harris and Tevaga are back, I think both are really important for the playing 17.
Personally I would have Tohu Harris starting at Prop and Tevaga on the Bench. The team is in a position where top players cannot make the match day 17. Wel done Brownie
