I would sooner name Rocco Berry at fullback than play Walsh again this year (5 Tackles, 6 Missed!), but apparently Chanel could be ready to go as early as next week so that is what I’ll be praying to the Rugby League gods for the next few days.

Arthars walks into the team if he is healthy this week, as he should be.

I was tempted to put Vailea in for Montoya but Kosi probably needs that older head playing inside him at the moment (pause..) and I trust Montoya marking Schoupp more.

I don’t mind Egan at 6 and Volkman playing in reserves but I’ve got RV in there to push Otukolo out of the side. I hope he is just very green and not a lost cause but some of those passes from dummy-half were really bad.

Harris is not a front rower and I hope Webster doesn’t persist with him playing there. Plus Sironen and Aitken played ass, and in Aitkens case, is leaving anyway.

Kepu (Kina or Valingi), Frei and Ale are all interchangeable to me, switched the three/four of them around as you see fit.

Curran at 13. Curran at 13. Curran at 13.
I don’t need to explain that one.

Agree. Kepu will do all that Bunty does. Bunty is all steam but no fire.

If they decide to play Aitken again then it needs to be as a left edge Second Rower & not at right Centre. Nathan Brown sucked all his athleticism out of him just like he did to Sione Mata'utia at the Knights. Arthars, Vailea or Berry (if that order) for the right Centre next weekend please

I really don't think Aitken did anything wrong in that game, we were on the back foot for essentially the entirety so didn't get to show much of anything.

Plenty worse than him yesterday. Ignoring a set backline from second phase so you can run against the grain & deliberately at multiple tacklers wasn't his finest moment however

I am missing something here, Berry at FB?? He’s lucky if he can make the dolphins on current form. Wouldn’t mind trying vailea at FB though…Atkin proved me right, he’s not a centre anymore. Stunted our attack and didn’t help our D. Please give Ale a shot and by that I mean more than the last 5 mins of the game.

Straight out of church sermon so I am zen with the world. I am ok with whatever team Stacey names on the grounds that he has only has 4 games left in charge. Looking forward to our season ending now which is a shame as I couldn't wait for it to begin this off season.

It is Stacey's team. He will name whatever team he thinks is best. Not that is actually best. Just that he thinks is best.

Yeah that's fair, I don't think one moment really makes it a failed move though. He should have been the starting centre at the start of the season.
Especially with Murchie in form and Curran available to play 2nd row.

A few weeks ago I had a look at our draw to see how we would escape the spoon. The only games I could see us getting were Tigers, Bulldogs and Titans. All at home back in Auckland.

We got the Tigers one. I'm not too confident in the other two now.

The Bulldogs' form has improved under Potter. Usually, any change under an interim coach is short-term. They might be getting a bit of benefit from having a former first grade coach come in.

Watching them they play with better structures than our side.

Their confidence would be improving.

Hopefully the Eagan experiment in the halves is over. He can fill in there to complete a game if there are injuries, but we should try and keep people in their positions where possible.

Bring Asi or Volkman back. Asi seems to create points but I'd like to see Volkman back. The kid has gone alright in first grade. He isn't setting up tries and having flashes of brilliance like Walsh was last year but he's done his job and has been a steadying influence.

Good thinking.
Dallin Watene-Zelezniak is doing nothing to be honest
Aitken well at least give Ale a shot, nothing to lose
Doubt Stace will drop our fastest player. Fox will carve us up regardless of who our outside backs are but Dallin might get some space against the Dogs, he's hard to chase down when he gets some open space about twice a year.
