Wouldn't you be concerned with having no out and out props on the bench? Granted, Addin Fonua-Blake and Lodge can play big minutes and Pene could slide across, but for mine that would definitely be a lightweight bench.

100% agree that Aitken is more needed in the centres at present though - although would probably mean Berry would get almost zero ball being outside him.

I have missed alot of posts but I watched the Titans play and they were really good. Strong forward pack and scored some good tries out wide against the Eels. A mighty task for the Warriors this weekend especially with all the errors in their game!

There was nothing wrong with the Titans attack last year either....they racked up some big scores against top defensive sides.....they just let themselves down with an inability to defend for 80 minutes.

I thought they hung in there really well yesterday and were dogged.

They are like a clone of the Warriors, they get a lot of dud calls, and lack the ability to dig in.

Like the Warriors, they need everything to go their way to beat the good sides.

Hopefully with both clubs being minnows....unconscious Refs bias is not a thing since neither club is home to a Cam Smith, a Bellamy or Robinson and all the politics that go with playing favorites.

Anyway, the Titans will be extremely confident watching our round one performance.

Mostly sarcasm bro, but I throw nikorima, Ben Murdoch-Masila, at the moment.

Niko, 100%.
Ben Murdoch-Masila is tougher to get a read on. He's at his best when injected mid-game and given a bit of space to rampage on the edge, but we've used him almost exclusively as a prop since we had our injury woes last year. I think the skillset is there but we're just not harnessing it - hopefully now that we have a rotation of A-FB/Lodge/Bunty/Pene that'll change.

I haven’t heard anything about Vailea but he was limping on the weekend and it wouldn’t surprise me if we are looking for a right centre as well, if so that could be Pompey. Arthars seemed to be ahead of Pompey in the pecking order..

I’d probably go with Pompey on wing but like you I think Brown will go with Kosi
Vailea picked up a MCL injury in just his third NRL game — ruling him out for the next month.

I like this, best team I think. Kodi stays at 6, Aitken stays at 11, Curran needs to stay at 13. Murdoch-Masila needs to spell on the edge. I think Kodi needs to stay because we need speed to make up for our ordinary centres and wingers. If we had some dynamic centres or wingers Chanel Harris-Tavita could slot in, but we need someone with the threat to hold a team up from sliding just that little bit extra & he is fast enough to get to a good support line. I admit it hasn't happened yet but we need to give it a little bit more time.

Yep, we’ll be going into this one with virtually a whole new right edge. FMD’s.
