I'm contradicting myself in asking for another right edge combo by moving Aitken there but it's in the best interests of the team & Chanel Harris-Tavita, if fit, will help stiffen up the left somewhat.

Our think our biggest issue all season has been our back row.

A combination of Aitken, Sironen and Jazz are to small. Katoa also while big gets fatigued and doesn’t dominate. Individually they are good defenders but they don’t dominate or control the ruck speed, allowing the opposition to put the most meters on us of any team and expose our edges.

Aitken - 92m per game
Jazz - 75m per game
Sironen - 46m per game
Katoa - 75m per game

A decent second rower should be over 100m highlighting they are physically spend and undersized.

Tohu Harris back fixes a lot of issues (as shown on the weekend) and if he pushes Aitken to centre that solves a lot more issues there as well, where you just need to stop the attack without dominating it. Next year we solve this through recruitment.

Our 11, 12 and 13 have been a major cause of our defensive woes.

You nailed it. A big reason for signing Barnett and Niukore. You want some attacking threat from your backrowers.

Some big suggestions by Nrl.com, if we see Aitken, Chanel, Arthurs and Egan all return that would be massive.

I don't want our wingers to change because I believe they are both very capable. I think Berry needs to come back, yes he had a few bad games but we know he can strong defensively.

Stats say he’s not a standout…

I like the guys potential but he has to do a role within the team. Being lighter and faster he needs to be supported by dominant players around him. We don’t have those dominant players after our starting props go off and with our lightweight second row.

To much smallness at once and it’s showing up in the lack of run meters and lack of control of the ruck speed game after game after game…

Stats also show that he got 3 Dally M points.

Being at the ground, I can tell you he was absolutely full of beans from the get go. Even when he got subbed after 60 he was pacing the sideline like he was itching to get back out there. Tigers had a monster pack too, and he was absolutely giving it to them.

I think on this forum we over-emphasise size and under-emphasise skill and heart a lot of the time.
