Tom Ale offers more than Afoa and Ah-mau
Tom Ale offers more in a shorter stint currently*

Not to say he won't take over Bunty and Ah Mau eventually. But right now they are building up his FG motor. Ah Mau and Bunty both have good motors, and have missed only 3 tackles all season between them. Bunty often has reduced minutes roll, so it's hard to read his avg metres. But I have definitely noticed a drop off in Ah Mau's offensive game this season, he is 32 this year so father time may be catching up with his running game.

Good team but you gotta have Kodi either for Ale or SOS. We probably are 1/6 or 2/6 without Kodi. He’s the only half we have that would make another teams 17. As floored as he is at times, he has been one of our main creators and a good 14 atleast.

I really value Kodi when he attacks the line, I thought his attack under Payton was much better than this year. Funnily enough the two previous rounds his defence was good.

The Warriors seriously lack dynamic play from dummy half. We have a history of bargain hookers producing and being a threat but that isn't the case at the moment. The odd surge by Roger Tuivasa-Sheck in the last two games has far exceeded his one out runs off the ruck as a threat.

Simplify it for Kodi, pass or run.

Yeah I like the idea of building up his FG motor gradually. I think he's the most gifted forward in our squad with the ball in hand, the footwork is a game changer and the speed he has at his weight is next level. But definitely needs to build up the defensive stamina and being able to make tackles reliably when gassed. I think he'll be a regular on the bench by season end, and long term the second row will be Katoa and Ale.

If see a few people are suggesting Kosi &/or Otukolo. If you have a fit, fulltime contracted player available in their position surely you're not going to get a dispensation for a development player to play?
*Otukolo's contract status is still unknown despite appearing on Warriors website & Kosi certainly isn't in our top squad

They already got dispensation for Otukolo weeks ago because they have no other specialist hookers in their top 30 (outside of Egan).

They got the dispensation for Kosi because Ken was doubtful leading up to the game. They needed an outside back precaution and they had no other outside backs fit in the top 30.

If you have no other options in your top 30 (i.e. due to injury/suspension, not poor player form) the NRL will generally always grant you dispensation.

It's not referenced anywhere (NRL.com doesn't have it recorded) but I'm pretty sure both Otukolo and Kosi are on the last 2 development contracts.

Gotcha. If Fusitu'a was fit to play this weekend wouldn't we still be obligated to start him ahead of Kosi because the reason for the dispensation is no longer relevant?

Correct, there wouldn't be grounds for providing Kosi dispensation to play over a fit Fusitua. However, development contract players are allowed to be selected in May, which would mean he could be selected over a fit Fusitua then.

*Coach has to make Nikorima accountable for his effort last weekend especially as he appears to have dropped SOS despite a win the week before. SOS ain't no world beater but we're 2-2 with him in the side which includes a L to a red hot Roosters side
