Roger Tuivasa-Sheck
Fusitua
Montoya
Pompey
Ken
Kodi
SOS
Jamayne Tounua-Brown
Egan
LAM
Katoa
Harris
Bunty

Jazz
Murchie
Evans
Ben Murdoch-Masila

Backline is what it is. I don't think there are any better replacements unfortunately.

Ken, Pompey, Katoa, SOS on the left
Fusitua, Montoya, Harris, Kodi on the right (this could actually be a dangerous combo)

Jazz to spell Evans. I like Jazz's enthusiasm and work rate but I'm one of the forum members who don't rate him that highly that he deserves more than 30 or 40 minutes a game as a bench utility/hooker.

8, 10 and 13 all play similar roles up the middle. Big bodies hopefully rolling forward. Murchie, Evans, Ben Murdoch-Masila rotating with them. Earn the right to go wide.

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck not to take one off the ruck hit ups. Reduce his touches of the ball and hopefully get better quality outcomes. I fear he is trying too hard and actually taking away from what SOS and Kodi need to do. Would like to see him following forwards looking for offloads or creating the extra number on the edges rather than trying to be our fastest prop forward.

There has been a few comments about the team not playing to the game plan in the last few weeks. We look disjointed and clunky with the ball in hand. Injuries and suspension aside, suggests to me that we don't have the right players in the right positions yet and/or the players don't believe in the game plan. With the line up above it would at least narrow it down to the latter if the performance isn't there again. 😉

This is actually a game we could win if we were in any sort of form.

If we ask Fusitua and Ken to pull the homesick card and return home in exchange for full pay can we get some ring in wingers again? Is Jennings available? And.....anyone else with some speed and a modern wing mentality?

Actually what playing Turner and Walsh on the wings? Screw these two chumps we have, get the young kids with xfactor some first grade experience.

You watch the Storm, Panthers, etc and it looks like they spend a lot of time just practising footy, passing, kicking, stepping, playing around together. Touch footy style, creating lots of options in different situations. Lots of unstructured play within a structure. It all comes naturally and is instinctive.

I feel the Warriors spend proportionally more practice time in the gym than on the field. This comes across in the lack of combinations, lack of footy IQ, lack of structure, lack of game awareness, etc.

Guys like Maumalo look like they are scared of a bouncing ball - they can’t predict how it’s going to bounce. They struggle to dive into a corner, don’t know where they should be positioned in attack, can’t pass, etc. They obviously practise a lot of wrestle, tackling, structure, physical conditioning, etc but the ball play is just not natural to some of them hence the lack of flow in attack.

I wonder if playing Turner this week was a bit of a sweetner to try and keep him or if they genuinely want him in this current team

Ideal at not making the 8? Having one of the best fullbacks in the nrl play winger, would u have tedesco on the wing?
Ideal given our current play and available players I never said it was my dream team, so yeah I'd try Roger out wide to get a bit of pace out there and see how Walsh goes at the back. Roger isn't even playing similar to Tedesco so that's not a good comparison, he's just being used as a battering ram.

You would hope that any team would be picked based on what is considered to be the best 17 available for the game at hand at such a crucial time of the season. I trust that is what Brown is doing.

Tuivasa-Scheck- STAY CLOSE TO THE BALL AT ALL TIMES (SUPPORT)
Maumalo
Perham
Pompey
Walsh
Turner- Run
O’Sullivan
Afoa
Nikorima-Run
Harris
Murchie
Murdoch-Masila-More minutes (quality)
Sironen

Tevaga
Evans
Ale
Katoa

I’ve got Ale and Evans ahead of ah-Mau, think they’ve got more to offer, they bring
More energy and more aggression. I don’t really see what Ah-Mau offers, o’sullivan has more run metres in the past 2 weeks. I want to like Egan but he’s probably one of the worst hookers in the comp. Kodi’s defence will be questionable in the middle but he won’t be isolated, and will make up for it in attack.

I would swap brown out for john Morris.
Could be a good option. I hope the Warriors see the long term future of the club in another direction to Brown.
Brown is good for rebuilds, the way he gutted Newy when they needed it, most Newy fans give him a lot of credit.

It will be interesting after this round to see what Brown does...being round six and all...

Shame his options are somewhat limited with the injuries. It is going to be really exciting when our centres are fit, and the forwards are fit.....a few will probably get kicked. Chanel Harris-Tavita too, be good to see some pressure come on Kodi.

I do not think we realistically have much chance of getting good coaches, which is why Its moronic to trash Brown imo, he is the best we could do, and it is short sighted to say things like this is not our year.,...of course it bloody aint.

We have to make the most out of enjoying our team game by game.

For some odd reason some folk were expecting the Storm or the Roosters out of this Warriors side....how do you get there???

Not in one year under a new coach anyway. Anderson did it best, scrapped into the eight and went from there in the following years.
