Hard to get much out of two year old highlights in a lower grade. However, what I did like was he seems to play straight as a matter of course. Too often our attack is lateral.

If that highlights package was supposed to get me excited it didn't. God I am am nervous for this afternoon

I'm not watching 12 weeks of Sean O'Sullivan, we'd be dumb not to select Paul Turner

Okay so what does Ale need to be working on then? Expand on that, otherwise it looks like you’ve never watched him play. I’m interested to hear what more he could possibly be doing in reserve grade when he’s been the best player in every game.

I’ve watched enough of Evans. He was decent without being great last year. Absolute penalty magnet. Noticeable drop off when Paulo and RCG left the field.

Not saying he isn’t far away, he’s obviously had a solid preseason and nobody doubts his ability to rack up meters with ball in hand but he needs to get the errors out of his game. I’ve seen him since he came in as a Centre and ran for 200 meters or something ridiculous.

Re-Evans, penalized 4 times in 16 games last season, hardly a magnet.

RCG - 9.29 meters per carry.
Paulo - 8.88 meters per carry.
Evans - 9.18 meters per carry.

No drop off, in fact, read an article last year describing him as one of the most impactful forwards off the bench with his 5 try involvements.

I'd be surprised if they don't get an opportunity over the next 12 weeks. Basically be prepared for some chopping and changing in the halves unless we are consistently winning.

Today is an interesting selection. Hopefully we see Turner especially if he has been playing and O'Sullivan hasn't.

Selecting the young fella will hopefully cause Nikorima to pull finger and be more active. Turner can add something the team needs with some youthal excuberance, we also need some speed. His game last showed he give us something different around the ruck, he got better as the game went on.

Yeah I love his speed & elusiveness .I can see him causing probs for big boppers .Getting them on the back foot
