Pick Your Team Pick Your Team 2021 Rnd 11 - Warriors vs Tigers

Swanny

Sironen looked really injured again as he was hobbling round the field towards the end of the game. He seriously needs to be rested and a fit and firing Murchie should be named. Also Katoa for Curran.
Sironens defence really impressed me on the weekend, he has a real ability to stop an attacker at the advantage line. I agree though that playing him with niggles is not allowing him to put the energy into his running game. I noticed that Ale didn’t play Q Cup so interested to see if he was rested for the short turn around or if he is injured.

44 tackles at a 96% efficiency was a good effort. Really worried about his ability to last the season at the moment as it seems every game he's pulling up with something. We have got plenty of other options so a rest would do him good.

Anyone wonder if Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is happy to play on the wing as it's the best transition to next year as that's where he's likely to play? It hurts to say given what he's done for this club but it's a possibility?
Also a few naming Rocco Berry in the centres. Was it confirmed that he was just dragged to get Walsh on the field/getting away from Sivo or was there an injury?
Certainly didn't help the bench from there on in
Foxtel commentary said Berry was Hia.

Yeah , really don't see why jazz was starting prop. Someone ask Gus this needs investigating...
the only reason I can think of this is the Sin Bin crackdown, Jazz is much less likely to make contact with someone's head as opposed to Evans. just a thought

Am I the only one who doesn't really rate Jamayne Tounua-Brown atm? He's solid enough in defence but doesn't really make any metres or add anything to the attack. A spell in reserve grade could be good to help find some form. I'd rather bring one of the other props such as Ale into the team
I still think he is performing at a higher level than Afoa and offers more on both sides of the ball. Does look in need of a freshen up but may not be possible if both Evans and Addin Fonua-Blake are out

I saw him at magic round and appeared uninjured, I belove he has a contact with us for this year
I'd be interested to see him given a run at some point, must be close to a minimum contract and if he proves decent then that's solid depth

Not at all, he’s been very underwhelming this season. Had his best game on the Weekend but averaging 60 metres from 7 runs is pretty pathetic from your starting front rower. Should be ashamed by his post contact metres too.

Anyone know why Vagana, Glamuzina and Kalepo haven’t been playing? Must be long term injuries?

Temple looks like he might be injured, hasn’t been sighted all year.
Glamuzina has been playing in the local central coast league for the entrance tigers (Denton engineering cup) hes actually been playing in the centres the last couple of weeks.
Vagana also played one game for them in round 2 but also looks to be injured.
Kosi started the year with them, might of played one of two games

1 hundy percent.

The only game that matters is the next one......and the only question that should be asked is what gives us the best chance of winning it.

And the best chance of winning in my books is Walsh has to play 80.

Fullback or in the halves i dont really care, he's shown he can influence from either.

If its fullback then i guess that means Roger to the wing.

If its in the halves who partners him? Not too fussed either way, both Kodi and Chanel have major limitations......one's inconsistent as buggery with a weak kicking game.....the other's not very creative.....with a weak kicking game.

......and for the love of god could we make speed the foremost attribute looked for when signing outside backs.....bunch of absolute slugs we have atm is soul destroying.

I have been pretty clear in my own mind that this year is a rebuild, because of the new Coach and a multitude of new players, especially after the injury toll basically gutted any semblance of a campaign.

After Walsh arrived, hearing the news about AFBs return, seeing Aitken come back in....and some promise from the noobs like Berry....I am rappidly shifting to making a go of it now with what we have.

Walsh and Addin Fonua-Blake have changed the game, Ben Murdoch-Masila too. We can look forward to winning the up front stuff the majority of the time, getting a massive boot down town, and throwing together a attacking threat that has managed to out score in one half of football, a couple of top four sides....just a shame we were already flogged by then....

Still, the ingredients are there....and most of all....seen enough of Walsh now to know he is ready for the NRL.

He is robust enough, he is not fazed.

Brown has enough there to be getting on with it and targeting an appearance in the finals, as you say one game at a time.

They can make our open side fast by using Kodi, Aitken, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck......that is not too shabby with Walsh.

But yeah, I think it is time to flick the switch, yesterday we showed enough to suggest that this year every player seems to care about winning and not letting themselves get disgraced...we have a pretty nice team if the Coach can unlock the guys and sort our our defence.

Our fitness is fantastic, yesterday we made over three hundred tackles and still mounted a come back. Props to the trainers and players they have really done a job this year. We tend to start fast...lately it is our bumbling that has stopped that happening. We also finish games still trying, off the back of some decent endurance.

I assume they’re playing there to be close to Terrigal?

Doesn’t sound like the best level of competition. Ideally we would just base them in Redcliffe for the year, and if they don’t get picked for QLD cup they play Hastings.

Doesn’t bode well for them cracking top 30 next year, especially with our SG ball crop from last year needing development contracts next year. Where will these 3 guys find themselves? Kalepo is probably safe with the hooker shortage.

Any idea of the form Glamuzina is showing? Looks like he’s played everywhere from prop to centre.

Does the attacking threat that Reece Walsh now provides help O'Sullivan with a potential recall?
With Brown announcing Walsh is our full back (pretty emphatic if you are putting Roger Tuivasa-Sheck on the wing)....Sully is back in the mix.

He is an injury away from being in the team.

If Sully sorts out his tackling, it really would be worth seeing him out there looking for runners, which he does well, and in a direct way, with Walsh as a running option go to.

Also we would instantly have one of the better kicking games in the NRL.

Those two things are worth something.

Lastly we will look more organised, not less, and our shit passing game might disappear with Sully and Walsh playing in the same line up.

He is a very good cheap back up option.
