One can only speculate had Walsh arrived at the start of CHTs injury run...what could have been.
You also have to wonder how much say Walsh himself has in this decision, as distasteful as a player choosing their position is, it is a thing in the NRL.
So....things being what they are, we should pray harder than ever that Chanel Harris-Tavita and Kodi come right.

Walsh looks so good it seems it will not matter too much where he plays when he finds his NRL footing.
Really stellar rise from a new Warrior. At the moment he is on a par with the great Stacey Jones, who himself had defensive issues at the start, looked too small, but by God was he good enough to swing the momentum of a Warriors team in every game of his debut season.
So long as we do not waste Super boy on the wing I am reasonably happy.
There will be disruptions to the halves and Walsh will slot in. Just stay fit kid.

The Corey Parker spine. I like it actually. Chanel Harris-Tavita 7, Kodi 6 and Walsh 1 is the spine for next year according to Brown, so makes sense to try and stick close to it now. 4 Forward bench since Roger Tuivasa-Sheck can cover any backline injuries.

People won't like it, but the best thing for Walsh's career is a clear signal, a coaches plan, and some sticking power.
Pretty much the biggest killer of baby backs at the Warriors is constantly moving them around.
I actually believe though, that Walsh will prove the exception to the rule. He will play well where ever they place him.
But for now he needs to learn the defence of one position, they all do.
Pompey is looking like the latest victim of being moved around and or playing with new partners. Hope not.

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck on the wing does offer the foil to Ken with the speed he lacks. Provides both Kens metres and the opportunity to get it outwide and put Roger Tuivasa-Sheck in a bit of space. I just can't see Brown dropping Ken. Is Jayden Nikorima still at the club?
Yep, probably wise not to see him getting bashed in the front line week to week also. Showed us again he’s going to be more than effective from fullback, he‘ll have more freedom from there and will be a threat where ever he pops up. Defenses will need to be on their toes.

I’m not too upset about this, I listened to a piece from Cooper Cronk the other week talking about Hughes becoming the half he is now after serving his apprenticeship as a fullback first. His running game is a big part of his game and was the biggest part of his game as a fullback, as was with Munster. Let Walsh play the position he’s spent most of his life playing, he’s still a teenager, he’s still cutting his teeth as a first grader, he’s most probably our fullback nek year. If he feels like he could have more of an impact as a half down the track, I’m sure we’ll accomodate.So this is a thing now...🙄

Anyone wonder if Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is happy to play on the wing as it's the best transition to next year as that's where he's likely to play? It hurts to say given what he's done for this club but it's a possibility?
Also a few naming Rocco Berry in the centres. Was it confirmed that he was just dragged to get Walsh on the field/getting away from Sivo or was there an injury?

Rocco went off for a head knock I read, but not sure if he passed hia or not
I don't see that and think wing (most likely right) is likely his best chance for game time if he wants to be an All Black but I hope you are right and I'm wrong as I wish him every success
