Blake Green sat out Warriors group training again on Monday, but coach Stephen Kearney remains hopeful he'll be able to play on Anzac Day against the Storm.
There's been no time to celebrate Easter for the Warriors, who have to back up their 17-10 loss to the Cowboys on Saturday night with a daunting trip to Melbourne on Thursday.
The players hit the training paddock on Monday morning after a lengthy review into what went wrong last weekend.
However, Green didn't train with the rest of the team on Monday, doing sprints and fitness drills instead and it means he'll only have Wednesday's captain's run to integrate with the rest of the team.
"Greeny, we'll give him every opportunity to be right off the back of a short turnaround," Kearney said.

"He worked pretty hard last week and got himself pretty close. The groin is not something that we can rush back from.
"There's a 10-day turnaround to the next game so I anticipate that if not this week, then definitely next week."
Winger David Fusitua is definitely out for the Melbourne game with sore ribs, while Solomone Kata had to leave the training session with a sore neck.
Kearney is confident Kata will be fine, but if Green plays, Peta Hiku could slot in on the right wing for Fusitu'a and Patrick Herbert makes his debut inside him at centre.
Stephen Kearney says there's no chance of David Fusitua playing on Thursday, but he should be back for the following round.
"He's pretty versatile," Kearney said of Hiku.
"Peta, plays a number of positions. An experienced footy player and I was possibly a little unfair on him last week to throw him into the halves again.
"I thought he did a pretty good job, so he's been valuable."
Those who do the draws have been particularly unkind to the Warriors this week.
They have to deal with a five-day turnaround and have to travel to Melbourne, while the Storm stayed at home and enjoy a six-day gap.
Also the Warriors' reserve grade team played in Sydney on Sunday, so none of the players can train again until Tuesday, which makes it tough for any of them to be available to play against the Storm.
"We pulled a couple of injuries out of yesterday's game, actually," Kearney said.
Patrick Herbert could make his NRL debut on Thursday.
"Sam Lisone strained a hamstring and Ligi Sao hurt his sternum.
"They don't get back until today so it will be wait and see with them.
"I anticipate Sam won't be available. That's the way the draw is, there's not much you can do about that.

The team for the Storm game will be named at around 5pm on Tuesday and it will be interesting to see whether Kearney again goes with hookers Jazz Tevaga and Nathaniel Roache on the bench again, or picks another prop. His only option for a prop on the bench appears to be Leivaha Pulu.
But Kearney clearly likes what Roache brings to a game as he can provide a real spark coming into games.
"The thing with Nathaniel is leading into round one, where he played 50 minutes for us, that was built up with a 30-minute trial and a 40-minute stint in the second trial," Kearney said.
"That's how we'll try to manage his time.
"Obviously we've got Bully [Issac Luke] there or there abouts too.
"So obviously we've just got to manage the best of both worlds and allow Nathaniel to build into his body and also making sure Bully's getting some good time."

Peta Hiku is set to fill the Warriors' vacant right wing spot for the Anzac Day game against Melbourne, while halfback Blake Green is tracking well to make his return from a groin injury.
First-choice winger David Fusitua has been ruled out of the annual fixture with a rib injury suffered in the second half of last Saturday's 17-10 loss to the North Queensland Cowboys.
Hiku was on the right wing for Monday's field session in Auckland and is in line to play his third position in seven games this season, having started the year at left centre before playing rounds five and six at five-eighth.
The Kiwi international welcomed the move back to more familiar territory in the back five.
"It's good to see one of our main spine boys [Green] making his way back. Until he's back in the side I'll be cheering [his recovery on]," Hiku said.
"Playing in the halves is something different … it's a bit trickier than in the outside backs.
"[The wing] is nothing new again, I've been there before, it's just something else I have to get used to and get my head around.
"I'm talking to Ken [Maumalo] all the time … you sort of know what to do as a winger."
Green was close to taking the field against the Cowboys and on Monday appeared unhindered as he took part in running and kicking drills away from the main squad.
Coach Stephen Kearney indicated the experienced playmaker's return was imminent.
"We will give him every opportunity to be right. He worked pretty hard last week and got himself pretty close," Kearney said.
"I anticipate if it's not this week then definitely next week."
Despite suffering back-to-back losses in the last fortnight, Kearney said there were positive signs for his side if they can improve their execution on the ball.
The Warriors completed less than 70% of their sets in both of those losses, making a combined 23 errors, and came up with only 10 points against North Queensland despite making five line breaks.
"We've got ourselves in positions in those two matches where we were capable of going on and getting the result, but we just haven't managed it quite well enough," Kearney said.
"I thought our defence for the most part the other night was pretty good … for the most part the boys have been doing a really good job, but we are just lacking probably a little polish in attack."
Hooker Nathaniel Roache said the key to fixing those problems started with the players putting more trust in rookie half Chanel Harris-Tavita.
"A few times in that [Cowboys] game, especially in the second half when I was on, we got a bit frantic and it was like we were chasing points," Roache said.
"We rushed things instead of sticking to the game plan, so this week we will try and slow it down, trust our halves, trust young Chanel that he knows what he's doing."

Is that news? Mr, Brownstone predicted that last October. The only question is the spoon.
Be fair, who has he to replace Blair, especially against the Storm. Keep him but drop him the first opportunity after that.
Luke was a key difference on Saturday. He is worth having for half a game.
Hiku had a bad game but the forwards were getting monstered. You can never criticise a half when the forwards are going backwards.
Blair should never have been signed but let him have one more game with the promise to pull finger or else, than drop him to ISP regardless until he finds another club. This is a harsh business.
Anybody wanting to drop Jazz tell me who is going to do the tackles?
Bonus question for those who just might think Polynesians lack intensity. One forward made 29 tackles with 100% efficiency, one made 45 tackles for 88% efficiency. Guess who ladies and jellybeans?
There is an attitude problem in this team but only from a very small number of players. A decent forward leader would fix that. I hope the brains trust see it that way too and go searching.
