when was the last time any NRL team dropped a big time player for form issues. I know cartright was dropped but cant think of the top of my head anyone else. Farah was dropped to get rid of him
big calls need to be made to salvage anything left of this season

I like this team, dont know much about Herbert. Id replace Blair with Satae or another young guy.

I heard Justin Morgan on the radio today also say the Warriors season is done, that being my opinion as well Id replace Green with AK, give the young guy some experience. Green isnt the future of the club

  1. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck
  2. Herbert
  3. Beale
  4. Hiku
  5. Maumalo
  6. Chanel Harris-Tavita
  7. AK
  8. Ah Mau
  9. Luke
  10. Passi
  11. Sao
  12. Harris
  13. Burr
  14. Roache
  15. Bunty
  16. Pulu
  17. Satae

Can’t see Super Coach Kearney making many changes... it’s not his M.O.

Green to come back in, Hiku back out to centre and Beale to replace Fusitua on the wing.

I think he may also drop one of the midgets off the bench... replaced with Lisone.

That’s about as imaginative as our Super Coach will get...

I doubt they’d risk Green. The injuries we’ve copped have exposed how short we are depth. Plus releasing players like Lino & Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad have left us high & dry.

Fusitua back to wing when he returns with Herbert reverting to centre. Ayshford gives us some stability in the interim.

All I know is Blair, Hiku & Kata need to be dropped. Whatever benefits they bring are out weighed by their deficiencies.

The storm will tear us for 50+ if we don’t at least try something with all the resources we have available.

Kudos to Roger Tuivasa-Sheck. The man gives 100% each game. Wish some of the others would.

Ayshford for Hiku? whats the point, Ayshford isnt even considered a centre in reserve grade anymore. Ayshford is probably the slowest of all of them and his defence is on the same level

IMO I hope SK wont make changes, would rather see his current lineup of stupidity get slaughtered for the ANZAC game. If your gonna make changes pull Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, Luke, Tohu Harris and maybe a couple of others out and spare them from the humiliation they dont deserve...
I sort of agree with you... But... He seems to stubborn a guy to accept he's wrong and regardless he seems to be the sort of guy who will always pick his favourites. As a result we just lose as a club and as supporters. I have no faith in his process. The first principle of coaching/selecting is you don't accept mediocrity. If you do and keep selecting it you a) remove any incentive for the poor player to improve because he has gaurenteed selection and b) the motivation for non selected players disappears as they not regardless of how well they train and play at a lower level they won't get picked.to be honest as a club they seem to dumb to change anything. 3 more years of shit Kearney football is just too horrific to contemplate 😞

I'm at the meh stage. ..
SK won't punish poor performance, the same culprits will make the same mistakes and around we go.

We'll jag a couple more wins this season, probably avoid the spoon and then do it all again next season

Like I said, injures haves exposed us. As much as i’d want AK or Milne to have a crack it’s a huge ask against the Storm. It’d be easier to bring them in against another low ranked team. I just think Hiku’s had his chances & then some.

Regardless of what we all think it’ll be the usual suspects running out this week.

To compliment our 3 midgets

Our clowns Kata, Hiku and Blair

I’d like a big fat white elephant in the team

This is my new balanced team, something Kearney will never select.

  1. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck
  2. Perham (can cover fullback, can learn first grade on the wing, brings speed and x factor)
  3. Hiku (right center)
  4. Beale (left center)
  5. Maumalo
  6. Chanel Harris-Tavita (right edge)
  7. Green (left edge)
  8. Paasi
  9. Luke (needs to play big minutes, plus added kicking option)
  10. Satae (to start but will only play 15-20 mins)
  11. Pulu (back on left, need to get some punch on the edge)
  12. Harris (back on right to support Hiku and Chanel Harris-Tavita)
  13. Papalii (invest in the future)
Bench
Lawton (can cover all back positions, impact out of dummy half, will sub on around 30 min mark)
Afoa (impact from the bench)
Ah Mau (impact from the bench, will play big minutes once on)
Burr (can spell Papalli or Pulu depending on fatigue)

Interchange template:
  1. Ah Mau for Satae (15 min)
  2. Afoa for Paasi (25 min)
  3. Lawton for Luke (30 min)
  4. Burr for Papalii or Pulu (50 min)
  5. Paasi for Afoa (55 min)
  6. Luke for Lawton (55 min)
  7. Fatigue sub (65 min)
  8. Injury sub (spare)
Dropped back to NSW cup all the errors, penalties and defensive mistakes in Kata, Blair and Tevaga

I have had a long hard think and I want the following players dropped

1) Blair. He was brought here as a prop. Then he said he didn't want to be a prop because he didn't like the hard contact associated with hitting the ball up. He wanted to coast around and pick his spots as a back rower. He should have been dropped immediately for making that suggestion. He hasn't really show good enough passing skills to be a back rower anyway. E.g .butchering a try last night. His performance last night was ridiculously bad.

2) Hiku. He is in some sort of negative head space where everything he touches turns to lead not gold. Two errors last night that were stupid.
The defining moment of this was last season against the panthers where he started walking instead of running back after a player who made a line break. This was the game which led to him being dropped. If he had've kept running he would have caught the line breaker who slowed up. And again last night after a chip kick the ball bounced near the goal line and bounced through his hands and a try went missing. His reactions weren't fast enough because his mind isn't clear. It is full of negative thoughts I speculate. The main reason I have such a detailed theory is I remember being in a negative cycle after my divorce. I see the same thing in him. He isn't thinking straight. He is not necessarily a "loser" but he is thinking and behaving like one and we need to distance ourselves from him until he gets in a better space. I would trade him for anything I can get as he needs a change of scenery and a sports psychologist. I am not taking shots at him or being sarcastic. Both the ABs and the blackcaps have a permanent psychologist as part of the team environment so it is just a new best in class practice. Without that help Hiku will always foul up.

3) Kata. I have been defending him or at least pointing out the other side of the coin in discussions about him. I simply don't agree that he is bad defender, because he usually ranks well on defence in the entire league when you study the stats after a decent number of games. I think we just underestimate how hard playing centre is from a defensive perspective. He is an above average defender. What bothers me is two plays this season. In a critical moment on tackle 1 in game 2 of the season 5 metres out from the line he tries a dummy half scoot and knocks it on because he is not gifted with good hands. This was the first tackle of our first chance to raid in the red zone in the game. It was an inexcusable decision and he should have received corrective coaching after the game. Instead he did something stupider last night with a 20 metre dummy half scoot which spoiled a near certain try.
Now maybe it isn't his fault he didn't learn after the first time in Game 2. Maybe Kearney doesn't believe in being "mean" to the players and informing them when they have done something wrong. Maybe this is on Kearney for running a laissez faire regime where each player gets to express themselves with no corrective coaching. Either way he has to go as those plays are destroying our chances of winning and it he isn't going to change.

4) Luke. At least temporarily. Just send him off with the personal trainer for a month and come back then. In the mean time I think Jazz is a capable hooker cover - just don't play him at 13.
