The Tigers dont have a chance against us. We will back bounce back from the loss to the Storm and smash the Tigers.

One News is reporting that Karl Lawton is a strong chance to play hooker against the Tigers which makes sense, I wasn't sure if he was in our top 30 squad so I guess it answers that question.

A few news outlets have updated our injury list suggesting Beale will be ready for round 9 so someone maybe squeezed out but I'm expecting something close to:

1. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck
2. David Fusitua
3. Peta Hiku
4. Solomone Kata
5. Ken Maumalo
6. Blake Green
7. Shaun Johnson
8. James Gavet
9. Karl Lawton
10. Agnatius Paasi
11. Tohu Harris Harris
12. Simon Mannering
13. Adam Blair

14. Jazz Tevaga
15. Bunty Afoa
16. Sam Lisone
17. Anthony Gelling

18. Isaiah Papali'i
19. Tevita Satae
20. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad
21. Mason Lino

I like the team. But that bench is mud!

1. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck
2. Fusitua
3. Kata
4. Gelling
5. Beal
6. Johnson
7. Green
8. Afoa
9. Lawton
10. Gavet
11. Blair
12. Harris
13. Mannering

14. Jazz
15. Sao
16. Paasi
17. Ken

Maumalo has super sub written all over him IMO.

Beal and Gelling will make some set plays happen for Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Green. Kata to have a crack at right center.

It's a maverick team I know, but it just might fly.

Gelling to Pt Chev Pirates or Just chill at park in Pt Chev somewhere.

1. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (c)
2. David Fusitua
3. Peta Hiku
4. Solomone Kata
5. Ken Maumalo
6. Blake Green
7. Shaun Johnson
8. Bunty Afoa
9. Karl Lawton
10. James Gavet
11. Adam Blair
12. Tohu Harris Harris
13. Simon Mannering

14. Jazz Tevaga
15. Isaiah Papali'i
16. Agnatius Paasi
17. Ligi Sao

Hard to go past this. A very thoughtful post and I like the team.

I just gotta say - Jazz starting at 9 is the death knell for our next month of footy. It will be like when Taylor played there a few years back. Absolutely glacial service, giving the halves no time to think and the forwards no time to wind up. I can maybe cop Cook starting, but I won't be convinced of him until we've scored more than 10 points in a game, something I don't think we can do without a genuine hooker. Our defence will have to be to the level it was in the Dragons game and with none of the silly penalties.

I don't want to be negative after such a great start to the year, but I have a massive sinking feeling in my gut right now. 6-6 by the times Luke gets back is a very real possibility. I hope I'm wrong (like the Chooks game, like the Dragons game) and our replacements step up and do a massive job.

I got the Roosters, Broncos, St George, Storm games predicted when all said i was crazy, thinking of pulling out of doubling up though this game. Cant be Nostrildamous with half the .... team injured and not getting updates fast enough.

Mostly we need to know if Johnson and Harris are playing before making a prediction this week. And Id assume Gavet will be playing. My gut feel is Harris and Gavet play we win. Johnson will add a bit of offensive spice which would be a decider for me. But do we just guess if they playing? I know its only tomorrow but I just feel we dont get enough updates on the ongoing niggle injuries.

My real fair is who is playing 9? Is Jazz our only choice? if so Im worried.

I REALLY want them to knock the Aussie out of Bunji though. But overall have enjoyed the tigers this year, just been some close losses or they could be the comp leaders.

Is there an 2018 anti Warriors Draw thread yet? ;-p Now even our easy games look hard with Parra turning it up.

Ill be happy VERY happy if we finish up 9/12 at the half way. Getty Luke back, hopefully these other injuries arent reocurring and no more to come and a MEAN second half to the season at 11/12 to finish Minor Premiers ;-p

Great post. I look forward to your game prediction tomorrow.

Regarding the Tigers, they may have lost a few close ones but they have also won a fair few squeakers as well. Their luck was always going to even out,

True. I felt losing Tedesco and then Woods, really shook the tree, they are 2 big players to lose in the last couple years. Bunji was a gamble, but paying off.

if gavet is fit enought to be on the bench he is fit enough to start, we were at our best earlier in the year when lisone and afoa were both off the bench with high energy and fast leg drive at the line.
i dont think lawton will start at 9 but i would definitely put him there and run tevaga off the bench.

1. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck
2. Fusitua
3. Hiku
4. Kata
5. Maumalo
6. Green
7. Johnson
8. Gavet
9. Lawton
10. Paasi
11. Mannering
12. Harris
13. Blair

14. Tevaga
15. Lisone/Satae (id prefer satae but i feel lisone will be there)
16. Afoa
17. Papalii

It’s a good observation and I agree more particularly in Bunty’s case, the make up of our forward pack will go along way towards getting the result against the Tigers.

Getting forward should be top of the agenda this weekend, Karl Lawton will need time and space not to feel rushed out of dummy-half though I’m sure Ivan will have other ideas.

The ex Warriors at the Tigers are our biggest worry.

They aimed up when they came home to beat the Storm at Mt Smart.

I will never feel confident facing former Warrior Legend Ivan Cleary. He has the wood on us...Penrith used to play here like it was their home ground ffs.

No Luke sees the Tigpies favorites....clear favorites....I'm just praying Karl Lawton has done enough to get a run for us, he is infinitely superior to our other options.....problem is SK is very loyal and particular....as such he will want to give the Storm survivors a chance at redemption, I can respect that....even if I dont agree.
