Most of Fusituas tries have been catch and score or of a bomb which he can do from centre by simply swapping to the wing on the last.

If Gelling marks Aitken we lose simple as that. Dragons will isolate him and go there all day and will come up trumps every time.

I don't believe I mentioned Gelling anywhere.

Anticipation is growing wondering what the final reveal will be from SK.

As suggested by some I do believe Gelling will be straight swap for "the improvement" with Mannering to replace Pulu. Papalii to ride the bikes on the sideline for 20 minutes before getting a trot out on the paddock.

But do we beat the Dragons?

i think this game should show us if we're the real deal..deep down i believe we are...but you have to turn up with your A game...even if you have players out with injury..they've just gotta step up

Penrith and the Tigers are also 5-1. It's a great competition this year.

We have every opportunity and the players to achieve even better results but just have to play this week's game.

I say we are the real deal.

Those first 5 games would have all been losses last year.

We are tracking very well although injuries are challenging.

I'd name Mannering at left centre. Not going to happen with Papali'i not ready to go 80 in first grade second game back and it would be mostly viewed as a negative move anyway but it will throw some doubt into the Dragons camp rather than give them all week to work on plays going down that side like they will be if we name Gelling. At least it keeps them guessing
Hayze will play a lot of first grade as the kid is class but he's not ready to jump up and play while playing out of position yet. Will do him more harm than good.

I liked how Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad played in the weekend very busy he was. But if there’s one other player that deserves a shot on the wing it’s Lewis Soosemea. He’s like what Bill Tupou should have been. Strong, fast and agile.

1. Gutherson from 6 to Full back.
2. Takairangi from Centre to 6
3. Auva'a from Reserves to Centre.

All Arthur had to do was move Hoffman from 5 to fullback and bring Auva'a onto the wing. They were a disjointed rabble.

Your suggestions IMO match this wayward thinking to weaken three positions to cover one.

No need to disrupt what works to cover somewhere else.

To cover Bevan French's injury at Fullback, Brad Arthur moved:

1. Gutherson from 6 to Full back.
2. Takairangi from Centre to 6
3. Auva'a from Reserves to Centre.

All Arthur had to do was move Hoffman from 5 to fullback and bring Auva'a onto the wing. They were a disjointed rabble.

Your suggestions IMO match this wayward thinking to weaken three positions to cover one.

Dunno man. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad has never played a first grade game at centre and he's been named on the wing so far this season for ISP.

Don't think it's wise to pit him against Aitken. We know Fusitua can handle himself. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad would be a pretty big gamble don't you reckon?? Plus Beale would be back like 2 weeks later so Fusitua can go back to wing.

Some talk Kata may play, he just has to get through a couple more training runs.

Not sure on Gavet but he’ll be there if fit which would mean a backrow reshuffle with Papalii likely on the bench in place of Sao.

If Gelling doesn’t start he’ll get game time this week in ISP I would think.

I actually had something like this back in my playing days

I badly rolled my lower ankle during a game & was told by the doc's at A&E afterwards that I'd be out for at least 2-4 weeks

My best friend, who is Tongan, told me that his old man wanted to help me heal faster by giving me a "Traditional Tongan Treatment"

Being desperate to get back on the pitch ASAP I thought fuck it ... can't make it any worse right

The "treatment" involved some scalding hot boiled leaves ( can't remember what kind ) being wrapped around my ankle while my bro's dad, who is a huge specimen of a man, dug into my ankle as hard as he could with both his thumbs & knuckles to "massage the bruising away"

When I screamed out in pain he told me to skull back some whiskey & stop being a such pussy lol

I ended up being out injured for the rest of the regular season (about 6-8 weeks)

My bro's old man told me it didn't work cos I'm not Tongan & my muscle & bone are soft

I still give my bro & his old man shit to this very day, over 20 years later, cos my ankle still bothers me from time to time, especially when it's cold lol

Centre is the most important defensive position on the field. You need a good defender on Aitken.Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad isn't and hasnt spent any significant time at centre in first grade or ISP. Using as him as cannon fodder is a ridiculous idea.

Funny that Gutherson at fullback last year was the Eels best player. So kind of goes to show how much you know.

Key words "Declining GI" ....Fusitua is in the form of his life and only getting better.

Plus we're in a no win situation at the moment with who we put there. Fusitua has a little bit more experience playing centre in first grade than Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad. But his lateral defence can be a bit suss as he is a big man, And have seen him get run around a few times by smaller faster players. Aitken is just that, But also strong as hell. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad's Dee is just as bad, His reads and front on Dee is not great. Aitken could tear him a new one.
