Id go our best team but play Lino instead of Shaun Johnson. Hes earnt his spot. He shows what a real 7 does.

How we have kept Lino at the club this long considering his success is beyond me, plus he kicks the hard ones where Johnson is just someoone who has been taught how to kick, Lino is a natural at conversions, a brilliant mind at getting the team up the field and has nearly as good a step as johnson. all johnson has is speed. We will lose Lino. Lino should have been our 7 4 years ago and Johnson moved to 6 as his game is running.

Cowboys have the history. We normally struggle to beat them, and they have the stacked team.

When we put 30+ on them to smash them at MSS, then the pundits *might* start to believe.. Until we play Manly, Dragons, the Roorters again, and then Storm, followed by Rabbits again.

This club should have learnt its lesson on banking its entire future on a single games performance by a single player.

Look at Konnie, Lolo, Carlos Daley, and a bunch of others.. We build them up after an amazing performance, pretend they are the 2nd coming, and then put the pressure of winning every game on their shoulders.

Kearney was doing Lino a favour when he said what did. Grounded the young fella and I bet he'll run him through video, showing him his mistakes and letting him know what to work on.
He's been playing down the hype from Rd1, Green had to win for 4 games before he got praise from Kearney and if Lino keeps performing he'll get his.

Beale is coming back from a broken leg so while we might be hyped he will be well short of a gallop and would benefit from a run in ISP just to get his lungs back.

It's not just Lino. It's what they collectively have created which meant Lino stepped up in place of Shaun Johnson.

It reminds me of a book I read "the spider vs the starfish".

The gist of it is that if you cut the head of a spider, it dies.

But if you cut a leg off a starfish, it grows another one and lives. Or something like that.

So when Mannering was out v Souths, Papalii stepped up (and the team was complete).
When Papalii went down with MCL, Pulu stepped up.
Actually Pulu has been that good we haven't even missed Papalii.
When Blair went to the bin, the team stepped up.
When Shaun Johnson and Gavet were ruled out, Lino and Bunty and Satae and Gelling stepped up.

Lino is average. He is a guy with limitef talent who has maximised his ability through hard work.

Dont get me wrong he played very well but was able to do so because he was in a good team that plays for each other that individually do their jobs.

People were rubbishing him after a game two weeks ago.

Without a doubt Mate. I was more responding to people who are saying he should be there instead of Shaun Johnson. Once Hingano left it was a worry who would fit in there in case of injury. Good for him, obviously a hard working team man, it is too easy to under estimate such players importance to a squad.
