Is Pulu playing in the middle now instead of the edge where he was dominating so much? Any reason for that or am I just tripping? If so I would like to swap him for Papa.

He has come back pretty underdone from his injury, shadow of the player that started the season and looks to be getting gassed pretty quickly. But makes sense spending 3 months with minimal running due to foot injury. Doubt he could get through 40 let alone 80mins on an edge like Papali'i, even though hes looking cooked aswell.

Papaali to have a rest for at least a week. That is the pack I'd like to see. I want to see Bunty, Paasi and Pulu getting more minutes than they have been. Get rid of the liabilities that are Jazz and Kata.

This would be my pick too. Chance of happening 0. Jazz will play 70 minutes this week. Kata is still confused. Mannering is too clunky in our attack at 13.

Warriors will get carved up though.

shit we have missed Tohu Harris !

Kata is killing me, not passing, not even breaking tackles now let alone getting over the chalk from time to time

Same squad with the exception of Tohu Harris if he is fit. My only wish is that Stephen Kearney use the bench little sooner and for a little longer. Both interchanges should be well rested and firing when they come on. I felt like Leivaha Pulu and Bunty Afoa had a lot more in the tank to give...

The latest news from NRL.com.

Warriors five-eighth Blake Green is expected to sit out his side's crucial clash with Penrith as the visitors scramble to sort out an immigration drama that threatens to leave Viliame Kikau stuck on the wrong side of the Tasman.

Green suffered a calf injury against the Bulldogs on Sunday, and NRL.com understands the veteran playmaker will be kept on ice rather than risk aggravating the injury just two weeks out from the club's first finals appearance since 2011.

Kikau meanwhile is racing the clock to have his Australian residency application completed so he can travel for Friday's game, with the Panthers working with government officials to navigate the red tape.

While Penrith's first grade squad will fly out first thing Wednesday morning, the club is willing to have Kikau travel as late as game day if it means having his paperwork sorted.

The boom back-rower has travelled previously as a citizen of his native Fiji, but would be unable to return to Australia after the game if he is not granted residency in time.

Panthers officials are hopeful of having an update on his availability on Tuesday, while fellow forward James Fisher-Harris is expected to return from a shoulder injury that ruled him out of their last-start loss to Newcastle.

The Kiwi back-rower was rested largely as a precaution due to the niggling concern but will return to the Panthers line-up, while James Maloney will also likely come out of his knee brace this week with an eye to beginning field training, but is not expected to return for the Panthers until the finals as originally scheduled.

Veteran Warriors centre Gerard Beale(hamstring) will also be monitored for the home side while halfback Shaun Johnson picked up an ankle complaint in the second half against Canterbury but is expected to be fit for Friday's clash.

I miss the days when you would have 2 props on the bench that would come on 15-25 mins into each half a hooker that would spell 10-15 mins either side of half time for a bit of spark but could also cover a few backline positions and a Second rower to rotate the back 3 of the pack. I guess the game has moved on from that as Kearney doesn’t seem to like using the bench if he can avoid it, long for the days where we have a game changing(positive :p ) impact from the bench

Is anyone else in the comp actually playing Kearney/Cappy tactics with the bench? My worry is that our props are losing match fitness with these little spells: can't see Pulu getting back to his best with the time he is getting.

The way Kearney uses the bench just makes no sense. Bunty gets half the minutes Jazz does. Some of our sets Jazz is taking two hit ups. He doesnt't create any ruck speed due to the way he jumps around sideways. He is just too small to play that many minutes in the middle. Pulu is not being allowed to get any match fitness cause he gets 10 mins. Kearney only really uses half the bench then wonders why we look tired and start getting rolled through the middle.

A couple of teams – the bulldogs bench averaged 20 minute each, on the weekend, less than the warriors at 24.

Dragons are the most similar, Ah Mau plays bigish minutes and everyone else gets just a short stint.

That's interesting they play a very similar light forward mobile style to us.

Must be more than coincidence.

Whereas we have big outside backs doing hit ups, theirs scoot directly from dummy half and run lots as well.

I would fully be expecting Kikau to play. He'll have up until Friday morning to come over and Gould would definitely have some connections!
Hiku a straight swap for Beale, but would still have demons from the last time we played them.
If Green is out then that's a major concern. The last time we played without him against Melbourne we looked clunky and disjointed in attack.

Hooker plays 80, they carry a back in case of injury. But they have a better starting pack so got away with it for most of the year.
