Pick Your Team 2018 Rnd 24 - Warriors vs Panthers

Panthers 4

After the Round 23 game against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium do you want to see any changes for the Round 24 game against the Penrith Panthers at Mt Smart Stadium?

Promotions?
Demotions?
Any new injury concerns?
Any returning players?
Any tweaks to the bench?

Discuss...

I don't want Hiku back in even if Beale is out for 2 weeks. Would put Gelling in. There are two targets in mind here
1) Beat the Panthers
2) If that isn't possible don't let them blow us out.

If Hiku plays number 2 is a risk.

I’m predicting that Harris will beback, but Green will be out and Shaun will also be under a cloud all week because his ankle is sore.... and will be a late scratching seeing Hiku partner Lino in the halves.

Shit today’s game has made be even more pessimistic than usual!

Watching the highlights again a couple of those tries by the Bulldogs were from forward passes and that pat back pass from one Morris to his brother which led to a try was a fluke.
Gavet will be charged for that shoulder charge shot on Klemmer and bound to be suspended, sure as eggs.

we seem to think success equals making the 8.. ie being mediocre.. what's the point. be bold.. make changes.. it's about winning the comp or at least being top 4 capable which gives us a shot. after last nights game we will limp into 8 and be gone first game. Gavet was avg again.. use of bench average again..

Our attack was fine.

We lost on defense. Too many players relaxed and expected the dogs to play poorly. Arrogance.

I want Harris and Blair on the edges and a new center who will make their tackles and shut down the easy plays down our left.

And for fucks sake, show some respect and prepare for a real game of footy.

Its not a fluke if you've actually made an effort to chase a kick. He could have chosen just to watch his brother contest that bomb all by himself, but being the professional he realizes if he puts in he could get himself into a position to take advantage of anything that may come his way....which it did.....if he doesn't support that doesn't happen (incidentally Morris had another 3 doggies in support when he went over)

Compare that to not long before when Green put that grubber into the in goal on the last and there was no Warrior with any urgency to follow that kick up in sight.

The clearest indication of all that one team was just not up for the contest and just disappointing that despite a whole lot of peoples efforts mental weakness still haunts this club.

Hopefully Tohu Harris Harris is back.

Would like to see Blair remain on the right though, Harris on the left and Papali'i coming off the bench in the middle.

Think Harris would do wonders for Ken/Kata out there and would like to see how Papali'i goes with a simplified job (maybe take some of Jazz's minutes/role). Love Jazz's passion but he puts his hand up for one too many runs at times, shorter minutes may keep his head screwed on.

More than happy for Hiku to slot in for Beale if he is injured. Love Beale's work ethic but he struggles to make metres/break tackles at times and can put us on the back foot.

Its early days but from what I've seen Ice will end up as a middle and not an edge. He's only going to get heavier and does well in traffic but not so well slide or running outside lines.

Hiku got absolutely shown up by the panthers in D last month. He used to play for penrith and I reckon they knew how to exploit him. I dont think we can afford to play him in the centres this week.

Both Green and Luke are carrying injuries and the bench is going to need to cover those boys I think.

Interesting call to put Tohu Harris on the left.

I think Kata needs a run in ISP.

I like Pulu left. Tohu Harris right. Mannering middle and Blair at prop to sub Gavet back to ISP as well.

Bench then consists of

Jazz
Papali'i
Bunty
Satae or Ligi the sinners.

Haha that was my first thought.

You're better off goading them into it and not getting sent when they are.

Just name Bam on the bench and set him loose on

Mansour
Kikau
Cleary
Whare
That young guy that likes getting suspended.
