Warriors Orange Peeler
Pick Your Team 2018 Rnd 23 - Bulldogs vs Warriors

Bulldogs 1

After the Round 22 game against the Newcastle Knights at Mt Smart Stadium do you want to see any changes for the Round 23 game against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs ANZ Stadium?

Promotions?
Demotions?
Any new injury concerns?
Any returning players?
Any tweaks to the bench?

You have to leave it as it is. The only weak link is an attacking centre, we actually have one spare but he is a revolving door on defence.

Gotta keep the same team from here with only Tohu Harris to come in once fit

Hypothetically if we wanted a defensive center capable of feeding the winger, the most qualified would actually be Ayshford.

Fair comment, however Gerard Beale is probably better than Ayshford but Hiku is better than both of them as a feeder for his wing man. He is a deceptive and large man and has to be watched. He just seems to have a bit more time.

Yeah I see Beale as a compromise between Hikus attack but lack of defence

Fusitua isn't scoring as freely outside Beale was he was outside Hiku, mind you he scored a blinder tonight. IMO both wingers would be dynamite with better feeding centres. I cannot think of any winger in the comp I would rather have than Fusitua or Ken.

Fusitua agreed, Kens runs are great but still has a bit of development in regards to other areas of being a winger. His support lines are a bit off and I can’t remember him scoring off a kick?
Beale seemed to gel with Fusitua a bit better tonight and should really have got a second try, I think this combo will be better once Tohu Harris is back.

Same team.
I'm even prepared to leave hiku on the bench.
But v the dogs another forward might be nice.

Is the dogs pack really that big anymore? They've lost most of their biggest, most effective middle men (Kasiano, Graham and Woods). Sure Klemmer is still a threat but I think we've beaten bigger packs this year. Same team (hopefully Jazz and Pulu are fine) should do the job.

Our edge attack depends on our edge forwards.

Blair getting comfortable on the edge resulted in 2 tries. When Harris comes back the edge will work just as effectively.

I'd like to see Blair on the right this weekend and see if Ken goes over. Because if that's the case, Blair/Harris 11 at 12 could be the final piece in the puzzle.

Hiku will generally always beat his first defender in contact, that opens up Fusitua, Beale uses his step more and might beat a defender but they are still on their feet. Chose your poison really.
