Pick Your Team 2018 Rnd 16 - Warriors vs Sharks

Sharks 4

After the Round 15 game against the North Queensland Cowboys at 1300SMILES Stadium do you want to see any changes for the Round 16 game against the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks at Mt Smart Stadium?

Promotions?
Demotions?
Any new injury concerns?
Any returning players?
Any tweaks to the bench?

I heard Tonga Samoa might play .We could lose a couple more ..
Its good for league .An players get to step up to the next level .
Some of them come back better players .
This is a challenging time .But its a good position we
Are in .I believe we can still win but we can afford a loss

We’ve played some of our best footy with a bigger and more balanced bench. I hope the Hybrid hooker forward mould of Tevaga is surplus to requirements going forward. Like the bloke but offers very little other than safety tackles

With Blair, Luke, Ken, and hiku out..

1 Roger Tuivasa-Sheck
2 Fusitua
3 Ayshford
4 Beale
5 ?
6 Green
7 Shaun Johnson
8 Gavet
9 Lawton
10 Paasi
11 Papalii
12 Harris
13 Mannering

14 Cook
15 Bunty
16 Satae
17 Sao

Assuming Kata is injured, Jazz and Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad not playing for nswarriors. And Gelling just gone off and had his ankle iced and strapped. Not sure who the wing will be. Wouldn’t mind giving Perham a shot.

Not too bad a team considering how bad it could have been without the kiwis

The Sharks are a very good team. We will be in tough against them. They sub off Fifita until the last 25 minutes and then try to storm home at the end.
The Broncos predicted that tactic and kept Thaiday fresh until the last twenty and countered with him. We need a similar bench strategy. Which probably means we will lose as our use of the bench has been below average this year.

why do we always have a weaker line up when up against top teams? Feeds the Aussie narrative that we can't beat the top teams.

1. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck
2. Fusitua (fortnight for an ankle seems ok)
3. Beale (right)
4. Gelling (left) (he travels with the squad most weeks, so that puts him ahead of Ayshford?, plus he can run that same short ball line Kata does, big boy, hard to stop)
5. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad, but if your going to give Soosemea a shot, this is the game.
6. Green
7. Johnson
8. Paasi (lucky he didnt make kiwis)
9. Lawton (this is the big issue)
10. Gavet
11. Papalii
12. Harris
13. Mannering
14. Cook, need another dummy half, assume tevaga out
15. Satae
16. Afoa
17. Lisone/Sao (many have said Lisone is better as a lock type, here's a chance to try it)

1 Tuivasa-Sheck
2 Fusitua
3 Ayshford
4 Gelling (Or Kata if he can return by some miracle)
5 Beale
6 Green
7 Johnson
8 Gavet
9 Lawton
10 Paasi
11 Papali'i
12 Harris
13 Mannering
14 Cook
15 Satae
16 Afoa
17 Sao

18 Lino
20 Vuna
21 Vete
22 Love-Henry

Thought Cook and Vete looked pretty good in the weekend. I'm sure I read somewhere that Tevaga's return may be delayed.

Contrary to popular belief I think Kata has been playing good solid footy this year and is a loss.

Up until he got hurt (and despite the brain fart ball drop) he was having a storming game. His defence has picked up untold this season and lately he had been showing signs of getting back to his barnstorming best ball in hand.

Imo got wrongly slammed in that Manly game by all and sundry for "not passing the ball" when he was taking the right option most of the time (incidently Kearney singling him out for having a very very good match)

Im expecting once he's back fit and Hiku finishes rep duties our strongest centre pairing will be re-united.

I agree with you other than his lack of passing the ball (in general, not just the Manly game), its been a fault of his for a while, not just this year either. Imagine if he did have that in his game - like i have said before i'm not saying in any way that Beale is the answer but i do worry come finals his lack of passing vision could cost up points.
