I’m also a massive Mannering fan but he hasn’t looked himself so far this year. I’m wondering if it’s because others are picking up more of the slack he’s losing what made him special?
Fair call, I wouldn't drop him right now, but without improvement on defence it may end up being inevitable if Beale finds form.
I agree. This is the most consistent performing wing and centre combination we have had for years, I wouldnt be changing it. When Kata was out they didnt look as good and dropping any of this combo will probably have that effect.
Fair call but would hve been interesting if beale had of been fit and playing and not gelling how it would hve been, i know its all hearsay but keen to see beale hve a run sometime guess to c how he go's, just like with lawton before he played. Just not 100% convinced on kata yet but happy to b proven wrong, has def improved since last year. This is the most consistent performing wing and centre combination we have had for years, I wouldnt be changing it. I have a feeling the centre and wing have never really been the problem, sure they have had their fair share of missed tackles but so has everyone else in the team. Maybe its been the forwards and halves inside them. When they drop off one on one tackles or over commit helping players inside, and dont maintain their spacing, it puts all the pressure on the centre to read 3 on 2s (sometimes even worse), thats a 50/50 call with the best case scenario being the wing is 1 on 1 and the worst the wing is 2 or 3 on 1.Fair call but would hve been interesting if beale had of been fit and playing and not gelling how it would hve been, i know its all hearsay but keen to see beale hve a run sometime guess to c how he go's, just like with lawton before he played. Aren’t we 7-2 with everyone in thier position?
Last played against Samoa 28th October and has done light training all through preseason. No way he comes straight into the NRL team...
